I think they should be able to attack creepers, and any other mob. They would just run away quickly after attacking one.

Perhaps a dark fog that can sometimes spawn in certain chunks that can cause certain effects. Not necessarily the wither effect because I feel that would be too hard, but perhaps nausea or blindness.
