The Glow Squid should have its own biome that has some new blocks that may have its own uses
and new vegetation. like some sort of glowing kelp

    would be nice

They need 1 more use. It's kinda boring if we can only use glow ink sac for items frames and signs. Please...

Shulkers and Sheeps should be dyable using the glow ink. So they would be visible in the dark.

Glow ink sacs are not only used for posters, they can also be used with banners to illuminate with them

I feel like the glow squid and it's ink sacs need more purpose, so instead of just being good for builders and people who want to read signs easier, it would be nice to have a use for explorers. My idea is being able to craft a glow ink sac with an arrow. The texture would appear just like an arrow with the glow ink sac on the tip. The purpose would be that when it hits a block, it will make a light source that quickly fades away. This could allow for people exploring caves to use glow ink sacs in order to discover ores, mobs, and blocks without need to go to every area with torches. Then once it has been used I think to balance the feature the glow ink sac should be used up leaving only an arrow. In addition I feel like mobs hit by the arrow should either just be damaged to simplify things or should become temperarily glowing and be seen through the dark like the glow squid.

at 1.17 pre 1, they made the glowed text have borders, however i think it should be more subile, instead of white borders on black text, it should be grey border with black text

Just a suggestion, but maybe change the sea lantern crafting recipe to a glow ink sack in the middle so it makes more sense why it glows.
Also, a glow ink sack tipped arrow could be used to create the Bedrock version of the spectral arrow in Java, illuminating the entity it is shot at.

Would you consider a way to make text on signs readable only at night/in the dark? As the text is black by default, clicking on the sign with glow ink could make it so it becomes readable in darkness, or even makes the text disappear so it only glows in white when the light level is low enough? The implications of this for puzzles, factions and general subterfuge would be huge!

I hope that someday the team might consider allowing us to apply a glow ink dye to full blocks like we can with wax, so they can emit a light level that can be gradually increased per application, as a survival friendly version of the pure light block added to creative. The ability to hide light sources have been the holy grail for builders since the game came out, this would solve torch spam, and give us a level of control over our builds only achievable in creative or with datapacks. You could even remove each application layer with the axe like the wax and oxidization of the copper blocks.

I think that you should be able to use a glow ink sac on any block to increase it's light level by one, up to 15. This would add easier lighting to builds in survival, and isn't too overpowered either.

Glow ink sacs should be used to brew potions of glowing. They should also be used as a substitute for glowstone dust in crafting spectral arrows.

no meu Minecraft de Ps4, ao aplicar as tintas as cores não ficam com os contornos em volta das palavras e tbm não consigo aplicar corante preto nas placas pra deixar brilhante.

I feel that the glow item frames should emit light like torches. It feels like a deserved reward for finding and killing one. Otherwise, I don't feel like the glow item frame is much useful, save for its nice design and special property.

Me and a friend thought it would be an amazing idea to be able to be able to make glow wool from the ink sacks and be able to make a glow bed which gives off light around you so mobs can’t spawn in that area around you

What if when you take any kind of glass (colored and pane variations included) and add a glow ink sack you get a glowing glass block. Instead of the the glass being see through, it glows the color that it already is. Many people have been asking for colored light sources. This may be the solution!

Mobs that can pick up items (such as zombies, husks, drowned) should not be able to pick up Glow Ink Sac, as Glow Squids tend to die in caves, and these hostile mobs won't despawn if they pick up items. They're adding this to Java, and I hope Bedrock gets it too.

Glow items feel so disconnected from the rest of the game. They feel like a mod creating a standalone feature that doesn't follow vanilla progression, and this is because of the fact that they ARE purely aesthetic, something we haven't seen in a while for minecraft. I'm torn on this item.

Please let the player dye the caller of a wolf and make it glow for both bedrock and java.

I would love to see Glowing Leather Armor, created by adding glow ink at the end of the dyeing process in a cauldron.

I foresee complexities arising in constantly-updating light while wearing it, and I can understand if that's too game-changing to be implemented. However, it would be very convenient for cave exploration and things, and having it be leather armor makes it rather balanced.

In general, for a community-voted mob, the glow squid has little use or worth to a player. The glowing item frames were innovative, but I would still like to see the glow ink become more practical. Glowing bookshelves? Glowing glass? Glowing Slime and Honey? (I like that idea) Glowing wolf collars? Just ideas.

Other ideas I've seen that I like and make sense: glowing beds, glowing paintings, glowing banners, and the "invisible ink" idea (signs that are ONLY readable in low enough light levels when their dim glow becomes visible).

Glow squids and squids should be fishable as to when your bobber goes down you can fling it to your feet and defeat it there or it can flop into the ocean and swim away. Also think they should drop squid meat or eyes as eatable food.

@gaspoweredpick's idea of giving Master Leatherworkers the regular item frame trade and Master Cartographers get a glow item frame instead is really interesting. Or buying or selling the ink sac itself, or even something else. It's absurd that one of the Leatherworker's Master-level trades is a leather cap, a duplicate of something they can already offer as an apprentice! So useless. Item frames fit the Leatherworker theme and would give them more use.

Colored tinted windows should be painted with the gloss ink so that they give a colored illumination, at least a low illumination.

They could be better sources of lighting, in a way that makes the underwater fell magical.
