I don't like it. The texture makes it look really out of place anywhere. Maybe if it spawned in pools of other glowing things underground then I'd like it right now it looks like a bad where's waldo.

I was in creative mode on a superflat world and a Glow Squid and an Axolotl naturally spawned in a village Well, don't know if this is just a bug on the superflat or if it will occur survival as well

Glow squid ink doesn't work on signs. There seems to be no effect whatsoever, other than you can't do it again.

I have several ideas for Glow Squids in Minecraft.
    1)Glowing Lakes
Because of the glow and sparkles of Glow Squids, I don't think they belong to the regular aquafires filled with water. Instead, I think they could spawn in a new biome called the Glow Lakes! Those would be aquafires with some kind of new glowing blocks and plants and ofc Glow Squids. The new glowing block would be found on the ground and walls of the aquafier and could be used in decorative purposes. It would glow and have a blue/green colour just like Glow Squids. So it would be a brand new glowing block with a unique colour which would especially be used in the caves, in the dark and of course under the water. For the glowing plants, I think we could have something like glowing seagrass or kelp, or maybe something different, I don't really know. But it would be shiny and glowy and magical, and would be used to breed Glow Squids, which is my second idea!
    2) Baby Glow Squids
Baby Glow Squids! They would be really adorable and would really fulfill the Glow Lakes! Also, the cool thing is that you could pick it up in a bucket and take them anywhere you want. That way we could transport Glow Squids and take them to our own aquafires, gardens, lakes and make a cool atmosphere anywhere we want! They wouldn't drop anything just like other baby animals, but they would ofc grow into a big, standard Glow Squids.

    3) Glowing Dye
The uses for Glow Ink Sacks are cool, but I don't think people use it that much. So, we could have a brand new tipe of dye! It would have a blue/green colour just like Glow Squids and would naturally glow! It could be used to make Glowing Leather Armour, which many people already want. But I think that we could use both Glow Ink Sacks and Glowing Dyes to dye a leather armour. Glowing Dyes would be used as every other dye, with its own colour + have the glowing effect, and Glow Ink Sacks would just make armour glow, no mather the colour it has. It would only serve for decorative purposes, but it would give both Glow Squids and leather armour a big and cool usage. We could also have Glowing Leather Horse Armour, so we could see our horses in the dark! In any case, it would be really cool and we could have a brand new sort of dye with its own colour and a unique feature, glowing!
    4) New Light Blocks
My last idea is not so related to the Glow Squid, but could be used with a Glowing Dye that i mentioned. I think we should have some kind of coloured light blocks. They would just have so many uses in decoration and could easily change the game for the better. They could be crafted using 4 Glass blocks, 4 Amethyst Shards and a dye in the middle of the Crafting Table. This could also Make a new usage for Amethyst! It would have a similar texture like Tinted Glass and would emite a light level of 16. I think it would especially be cool with a new Glowing Dye!

Maybe glow squids could give 10 seconds of night vision when near the player, since dynamic lighting would be difficult outside of mods like Opti-fine. To make up for it it gives the player night vision when within 5 blocks of the player.

I think the texture of the glow item frame should be plainer

Glow ink sacs should be able to be made into glowing dye, it would be a sea foam color and work like any other dye, the blocks you dye with it would emit a small amount of light (about the same as a magma block) and even leather armor would light up, but It still wouldn’t actually work as a dynamic light source, it would just be like an enderman’s eyes or the glow squid itself.

ANOTHER USE FOR GLOW INK SACK: When axolotls get added into Minecraft, people are going to want to put them in aquariums; but the big problem is that they are hostile to other sea creatures. I was thinking that maybe if you were to craft a glow ink sac and a sea lantern together, you will get a special sea lantern that makes axolotls not hostile to non-hostile mobs such as fish and squids when they are in range of it underwater. I thought of it this way because this can be done similarly in real life by getting a type of light that makes types of fish not attack other fish.

In bedrock, you can dey the water in a cauldron and dip leather armor in it to dye the armor. Maybe if you put glow ink in a cauldron that dipped leather armor in it the armor would glow. This would only be a visual thing.

You should be able to make dyeable mobs (shulkers, dog collars, and sheep) glow the same way the squid does using glow ink sacs.

I think you should be able to use the glow ink sac to change the color of Redstone lamps or other light source blocks allowing a bit of more variety when building. Maybe when crafting you could use the glow ink sac surrounded by dye making (color of the dye) glowing dye which then allows you to combine it with light source blocks.

Perhaps it would be good if when applied on a banner this "lights up" like the eyes of spiders or as if it had a lighting bug

I would say glow squid is really good but what would we get from it? Like just an inc sac or maybe add a new feature such as a ball so we could make a disco ball? That would get more people playing Minecraft

It feels like a reskined squid so something new should be added to make it different

Glow said does not produce light or "Glow" so please make it produce light.

Yeah... it's not gonna happen. They have to completely redo the lighting engine in vanilla Minecraft for it to be possible. Just wait for Optifine to be updated to this version and you can have actual glowing Glow Squids. A lot of the suggestions here are good and can make the currently barely useful Glow Ink Sacs more useful. My main suggestion is to make it as a Trade item to Villagers but to which type of Villager would be appropriate is the question.

They should have the original animated texture from minecraft earth and it should glow in the right spots like the original texture

Glow Squids should spawn really deep in oceans and in caves... and when the player is in water deep underground and in oceans, things get foggy (like the void fog they used to have, and like in the Nether). Glow Squids would still glow in the fog.

When you hit glow squids, they should flash really bright before going completely dark and trying to swim away.

The glow squid ink sack should be able to be thrown and it makes a glowing ink splatter on what ever it lands on and it can be on the side, top, and bottom of blocks and you can dye sheep’s wool with it and it has a glowy look to it. If you get hit by squid ink you get blindness and if you get hit by glow squid ink you get night vision or something like that that last a few minutes which is helpful since your in a cave and it makes more sine and adds a challenge to the squid.  Maybe glow squid can be smaller like the size of baby squid it would be cool to find and under water lake full of small squid just swimming in there and maby if you drop a fish in the water they will start to swim in a line and lead u to some kind of treasure in the cave

I think that the glow squid spawn Y needs to be tweaked I think it should be found only in underwater ocean caves or fully underground water caves going down from level 20 and lower.

At the current state they can be seen on the surface of the world because they spawn in flooded surface caves and that is not good, I think that it takes a lot out of the mob making it just another squid when it should something you would need to look specifically for and the only way to find it is to go underground where it is really dark

The squids need to actually give off light as well as the glow inked signs.

The glow ink sac needs more uses. You should be able to make glowing paintings too at least, they could be useful in builds where you want paintings to be visible but not emit any light from behind

Glow squid ink should be able to dye banners, so you could make a specific design on the banner glow, and it'll glow on bannered shields as well.

Glow squid generation levels should be tweaked, at the current state (21w20) you can see glowsquid from the ground level if there is a submerged cave entrance or even glow squids in the oceans or ravines.

I think that to make this mob truly unique it should only spawn below a certain Y level and it should not be found on a cave which has direct access to the surface, this way you will need to look for them in deep underground caves giving a nice feel both to the caves and to the mob's charm

The Glow Squid should have its own biome that has some new blocks that may have its own uses
and new vegetation. like some sort of glowing kelp

    would be nice
