Omg This is EXACTLY what my sister and me wanted! Maybe you could add bears who hibernate in the winter and migrating birds? Thx, love this idea!

Ich finde es eine coole Idee Jahreszeiten in Minecraft einzuführen aber ich würde es erst einführen wen man die Jahreszeiten in Einstellungen aus/ein stellen könnte.

It sounds a bit complex for minecraft but will still make the game great.

That sounds fantastic! it would add a little more realism to the game. i think that there should be a new particle (leafs) and during fall all the trees would turn orange/red and the leaves would fall.

pls vote for seasons bc it would be really cool to see snow on some other biomes then just the snow biome bc it looks more realistic :>

I like this idea! I’d really love to see tree leaves change colors and fall off! But I partially disagree with the snowy biomes part. I don’t mind shoveling snow, every now and then, but it gets ugly and hard to maintain after awhile. I know snow can pile up to at least one block high on bedrock, but I don’t know what the Maximum is.

I do like that snow makes gameplay challenging in bedrock, but I think a season cycle would keep snow levels from reaching absurd amounts or let it become too much of a nuisance. Maybe with tundra biomes and mountains snow piles could only slightly reduce, but in other lush biomes all snow could completely melt away in the spring. Maybe I’m crazy idk lol

Its a great idea to have seasons in Minecraft. How about, the villages? It would be nice if the villages be different in different seasons, Like in spring the village would be decorated with flowers and at that time there would be some rabbits. And in summer villagers store food for upcoming autumn. In autumn villages would be decorated with carved pumpkin lanterns and spooky looks. Finally in winter there would be trees decorated with lanterns and also villagers would be wearing different color of cloths in different seasons.

I would love to see this implemented in MC. I have been thinking it would be a cool idea for a long time now. Adding to the tree idea, it would be nice if the leaves looked different throughout the minecraft year. Spring they would have tiny sprigs of leaves, and maybe even some cherry blossoms. In summer they would be the generic ones that we have right now, but maybe see some apples hanging from the trees. During fall they would turn orange, red and yellow, and maybe add a tiny particle that looks like a leaves that could fall from the trees. Finally in winter there we be no leaves, and it would snow everywhere, not just mountains and ice spikes, ect. (Excluding of course beaches and desserts, mesa). Pumpkins maybe could only grow in fall and summer, and melons could be a summer thing too, like watermelon. Also to the side I think it would look very nice if Constellations were added too. Maybe a creeper face, or the enderdragon, that would also change as the year went on. Finally, if the days were longer or shorter depending on the season it would add a nice touch. A version of the clock could be used to determine exactly what part of the year it was. Thanks!

Animals could also have more babies in the spring and villagers could wear sweaters when it gets colder. Maybe even nose warmers.

in some places, for dry season the grass could get more of a dull color, and can change into dirt, maybe rivers could lose some water, maybe cherry blossom trees could be added as anew type of wood. and maybe deserts could have grass and flowers when it's winter or spring, and could be turned into a temporary savannah, palm trees would also be good for this scenario. or forest fires for savannas or rare jungle-savanna hybrids or taigas. (hopefully this could be made in a way that does not affect the frame rate in a bad way) this is just an idea, if seasons were on their own special update

I think that the seasons in Minecraft should follow the seasons in real life, like in Animal Crossing. I also like the idea of the seasons following moon cycles.

it could also be a great way of measuring time in your Minecraft world and you could even make your own lunar calendar. Great Idea I voted

Some areas of the planet have dry and wet seasons. Fires could happen during the dry seasons. Mojang doesn’t like adding natural disasters so maybe the fire should be able to die out really quick somehow.

I think that the lush cave biome will be excellent.

The fruit trees could also mark where something like an abandoned mineshaft for an example because it would be interesting if an abandoned mineshaft came through a lush

    cave biome.

This should be paired with weather in an update dedicated to some foliage, seasons, and weather. That would be the most ideal update.

This could be added as part of a hot and cold update where things to do with hot and cold would be added to minecraft. If this feature is going to be added, it’s going to take up most of the update that it’s in.

I think it would be cool if there was a new type of tree in spring: the cherry tree. It would have silvery bark and pinkish wood and pinky-red leaves, a little pinker than jungle wood. Also maybe cherry buds could be rarely dropped when the leaves are broken, and used to tame zoglins and other mobs.

Example: In the winter snow falls in most humid biomes like oak and dark oak and maybe even jungle biomes.

    Wouldnt this be really cool?
