I think the old extreme hills biome should be removed and just made into a general "Cliff" biome, with some reaaaaally steep slopes

With the new snapshot some of the terrain generation had spread to the nether. Now I think this is actually a positive. It hink it looks really cool, and actually works quite well. It might be nice that when 1.18 comes out if we still have that in the Nether. Maybe not through out the entire thing, but here and there it would be pretty awesome.

Can you add the new mountains in the normal Minecraft pocket edition updates and not just the beta

I want to increase the temperature on the mountain. The higher the mountains, the colder we may have to wear clothes to prevent death or to set fire to create heat. It's very exciting. It makes me feel like I'm really in the mountains. Also, I'm sorry if my English is wrong.

I think the biomes should have more control over their terrain, but only sometimes, maybe 50% or less, so we can keep the crazy generation from the experimental snapshot whit its broken and epic terrain and the biomes can have their own personality, for example the deserts, savannas and plains could sometimes be very, very flat and very large, in this way people who like to build on flat land would have a good place in their world.

none of the mountains extend past 255 blocks even though the build height limit has increased to 320

Here are some tweaks I would make to mountains as of Experimental Snapshot 2:

    • The tops of mountains sometimes seem too smooth. The peaks of mountains should have more noise to make them look more rugged.
    • Dirt shouldn't generate below snow blocks in lofty peaks, snow capped peaks, or snowy slopes. Instead of dirt, there should be stone. This would also make iron on mountains easier and more worth it to find.
    • There seem to be too many snowy slopes and very few meadows. The meadows should be able to generate higher, and the amount of snowy slopes should be reduced.

I think the grove should be lower on the mountain and less snowy. it feels more grove-like to me.

The biome is great but a few changes could be made.

Making it possible to find a mountain biome within 1000 blocks of spawn would increase the probability of finding one. The strongholds are formed roughly like this and it doesn't need to be a mega mountain either just something.

Tweaking ore deposits could help some. Iron seems fair in the quantities and amount of deposits you can find but often you can only find one ore on the surface because the mountain genration cuts it off.  Coal is way to common though. Decreasing the amount of veins a little would help as It seemed every open block was a coal ore and just taking a look through the mountain I found multiple veins with only a couple of blocks between them. Slightly increasing the amount of emeralds that form inside a mountain would be helpful but not needed.

Adding a structure would be great. A wooden hut built in a crevice of a mountain would encourage exploring mountians. This hut could be placed anywhere on a mountain and could come in various states of disrepair. It could form a chest with coal torches and stone/iron pickaxe. In complete structures a hermit could spawn. It would be like the wandering trader selling various items for emeralds. It would wander around it's hut and have a pet or two. It's wolves could attack you if you hit it. It could change it's trades every day and would be willing to buy anything from you. Only one hut could form per range and hermits won't respawn or breed.

I feel like the mountains are not big enough and should be extended to 300 blocks

I think it would be really cool if the mountains formed chains like real mountains do. For one, it'd help make them a little easier to find but they could still be rare. Would help with adding some reasoning and strategy on how you explore/mine too since that's sort of the idea with the ore veins.
They look seriously gorgeous so far tho!

Me gustan las nuevas montañas, pero creo que debería haber mas cosas en ellas porque se sienten medio vacías en las partes mas altas.

STUNNING, BREATHTAKING, I just wish the new gorgeous mountains generated more frequently! they feel way too rare right now

Here are a few characteristics of mountains that may give the mountains more grandeur.

–Mountains are huge, but that doesn't mean they constitute a whole biome, such as a forest.

–Mountains are a complex of ridges and valleys, cliffs and plateaus, glaciers and waterfalls, copses and rocky tundra (they even have their own weather, but I won't go there). They aren't a complex of blobs.

–Thunder is being stolen from mountains, the culprits: trees and hills; the plains don't even look flat. In fact, they look like a scaled down mountain biome. Being in a superflat world is the most Prairie-like Minecraft experience that can be had. Trees on the other hand, can reach the top of a major cliff easily. This could be solved by making a typical, non-mountain hill seven blocks tall. As for trees, make the cliffs twenty times taller than the trees. If there was a tree that was seven blocks tall, the cliff would be 140 blocks tall.

Increase the amount of high gradient terrain so the world would be more fantastical and dramatic and would make the exploration element of Minecraft more interesting as currently it takes ages to find any terrain that truly wows the player.

Me encanta las nuevas montañas de Minecraft 1.18 pero me gustaría que en Minecraft bedrock y Java las montañas de nieve se generen más fácil pero no tanto me encantaría eso pero asen un buen trabajo

Lush cave biomes when partly submerged generate with no vegetation in the water: it seems a little bland considering the fact that its name is “Lush cave”. I thought it might be good if there would be a submerged equivalent ( or the same !) form of vegetation in the waters. Even sea grass could work just to brighten it up a little.

    Hey there!

In terms of "climbing motivations" it would be amazing to be able to find a structure in some of the diverse mountains that are beeing added to the game. Like a "witch hut" for the Iceologer (if it would be added to the game of course)...

Cheers from Chile and thank you for such an incradible artistic work!

Some ambient wind sounds on top of the new mountains would be such a great small addition!

Your sound engineer is amazing so I'm sure it would fit the game perfectly :)

Here's an idea for a generated structure in a biome near the top of mountains (I'm picturing something with trees like the mountain grove but maybe higher in elevation or more secluded):

A hermit's shack containing a lone villager and a crackling fireplace to keep the place warm during the cold mountain nights. The hermit may be a bit weird, but if you can find his remote hideaway, he'll reward you with some neat trades that you can't find anywhere else. Or maybe not reward you so much as bribe you to get you to leave.

It might be good if there were mountain lakes (tarns) in the gaps between the peaks and in the in the grove and meadow biomes

As many of you, I think that new moutains are way too rare. I played on a new map in survival, it took me around 3 hours of searching before finding one. New moutains are crazy, and here are my areas of improvment:

1/  Sometimes, the generation of new mountains are a bit weird. I don't know if it's due too new tiny biome (they are incredible, it gives so much more variety in landscapes), but I've seen one big mountain lost around plains and forest. I think that it would be much better if there was a minimum size of moutain biome, in order to have crazy landscapes with a ton of peaks around you.

2/ Peaks...(at the time I am writting this, you have partially resorbed the prob in the fifth exp. snapshot) In my opinion it defenitly lacks peaks. The new moutains are getting very high but always easy to access by walking. In real life, the top of the highest moutains are soooo steep and impossible to reach without climbing with equipment. I think that some of the moutains are good like that, but some of them (maybe the hisghest, but not necesseraly) has to have a real peak at their top. It would make the lanscapes even more asthonishing.

3/ In relation with my first point, maybe add specific shape to moutain biomes. Some of them narrow and straight like Andes or Pyrennees, others massive like Alps or Himalaya.

4/ Sometimes generate big cliffs (as the name of the update) rather than moutain basements.

5/ Maybe some burried treasures at the very top of sharp peaks (climber's stuff)

In the newest snapshot, the mountains form to many donut caldera shapes instead of ridge or chain shapes

They’re amazing. The scale of the world has entirely shifted in a really good way. I do think mountains should generate more in “chains” or stripes than splotches, like real mountains. One reason for this is that it could incentivize players to cross them to discover more of the world.

They are great absolutely, no doubt about that, but they should be less common.

Everytime i open up a seed in experimental there's always one right in front of me

Mountains need waterfalls!! and rivers should be able to generate and different heights and flow downwards.

Light wind audio should play when the player is in the new mountains above a certain altitude. I just think this would add a lot of ambience to exploring at high altitudes.
