If you have a bundle with arrows in your inventory, you should be able to shoot bows/crossbows with arrows from inside the bundle. This would mean that you could have for example 32 spectral arrows in the first spot, then 16 slowness arrows, then 16 normal arrows. If you have no arrows in your inventory you would take arrows from the bundle in the order they are in the bundle.

Sounds great! but maybe you could put an empty bundle in a crafting table with string on both sides to make a sachel! you could put it on your chest spot and it would act as a backpack!

if you are holding a bundle that has inventory space available and you pick up an item, first if there is a stack already in your inventory that is the same item it will go into there, but after that it should prioritize going into the bundle before going into another empty inventory slot. the same thing should apply if you have a bundle with room available in your offhand.

when a bundle becomes full, it should make a sound. and if you pick up an item that wont fit in a bundle while you are prioritizing a bundle, it should make a sound also, maybe the same sound or something a bit different.

if you have an open bundle in offhand, and you have another open bundle selected in main hand, the one in main hand should be prioritized.

this is probably already a feature but bundles should be nameable.

i haven't tried what playing with all these things in place but they make sense to me and seem like they would allow for more complex, organized, and efficient inventory management.

Bundles are kind useless. They can only go up to 1 stack to hold a bundle tacks up one slot like how a stack takes up one slot what's the point? I feel like its a excuse to not add to the game backpacks. most of the time I don't hate on Mojang  but come on this is just sad.

I think there should also be a vegan version to craft a bundle and I also believe a 'vegan way' of minecraft should be considered more. I would love there to be cotton as a replacement of wool in the future and for bundles maybe use wheat or bamboo or something else or maybe even make a complete equivalent of this item like a bamboo box maybe. I would really appreciate if you take note on this feedback for future updates, especially since minecraft is being used as a educational tool as well. with the current climate crisis happening I think minecraft should take on more responsibility to promote this player-style in minecraft. there's a difference between self defence (in terms of mobs) and the actual 'need' to kill passive mobs. please consider this.

Bundles are great.. maybe the advancement  could be "bundle up" after you put something in the budle

    Idea:

If you add colored string to the game, it can then be used to customize bundles

That way, you only need to change the string color instead of dyeing the whole thing.

I think that the functionallity it's great! The big problem comes with cost of obtaining. 5 rabbit leather and 2 strings are really hars to obtain in early game, probably a bigger problem the rabbit leather than the 2 strings. Would change the rabbit leather for 2 cow leather or for 2 rabbit leather; or make it so the rabbits drop from 2-4 leather when killed.

I love bundles! I have wanted them for a long time. I like the crafting recipe. My only complaint is that Bundles are kind of difficult to get. Please make new varieties of rabbits for more biomes like plains, woods and savanas too and also make them a lot more common.
And add an advancement for using a bundle too.

I think bundles are one of the best additions. Really useful for early game exploring.

I have seen some ideas to add enchantments to increase the stack size of bundles. I agree that for bundles to be useful early game, they need to be able to hold more than 64. However, instead of enchanting them, you could use rabbit hide to upgrade them in the smithing table. Maybe each hide adds 32 to the limit with a max of 4 stacks? This gives another use to the smithing table so the is a reason to craft one early game.

I may have a suggestion for the bundle/inventory issue, from what I gather on YouTube the bundles are an issue for the touch screens (besides the 1 stack complaint). Perhaps move bundles out of the inventory space and onto the display GUI next to armor. Instead of putting things into a bundle, a bundle upgrades your inventory slots to expand by 2 per level of the bundle. Adding slots as an upgrade would keep an easy of flow moving items (a complaint); add more inventory room but with a progress cost level, but also max it out for sulker boxes.

    Leather +2 slots on inventory

    Iron/copper +4 slots

    Diamond +6 slots

    Neitherite +8 slots

This increases the character's individual carry capacity but because it caps out at 36, a boon for players before getting to the end. Sulkers are still very useful, it also adds a progression system for character storage, and would be easier to interface with and use compared to the current bundle, keeping a speed to access items. There can even be another tier doing backpacks for more slots, matching a higher price or as treasure loot.

Now if the touch screen thing isn't the crux and you don't like the expanding character inventory, overall Bundles are pretty handy but need to be at 3 stacks worth to really help with inventory, this would make bundles useful for tool pouches, or other one stacks where players like to have a backup or two. and honestly, I lose the most space with making sure I have the right tool for any job than keeping random items.

Bundles are currently extremely annoying to use. Inventory management is even more tedious and time-consuming than before. You have to take out every item one by one without being able to choose which item to take out. The simple solution to this issue is to add a feature where scrolling allows you to switch between items inside the bundle, allowing you to pick which items to take out. Please do this. PLEASE.

I love bundles! They'll make it so much easier to explore. But I only have two concerns. Please make it possible to dye bundles. Also please allow upto 16 non-stackable items to be stored here. This will make bundles more useful. I have seen many people want this too.

So in the case of items that are limited to stacks of 16, I think it would be better to not have bundles be limited to only carrying 16 of that item. Items in the bundle are not useful to the player until they are removed, so there's no reason not to allow (for example) players to fill a bundle with 64 ender pearls for ease of storage.

Alternatively, some form of upgraded bundles in latter-game play that could carry such things more efficiently would suffice.

I was thinking since it was first announced, renaming a bundle to Gift or Present should hide the contents inside to make it like a goodie bag :)

Maybe a kind of ribbon you could put on a bundle? Could be cute for presents in multiplayer..

    1. I hope that the bundle is not removed from 1.18. I think that Minecraft is better with the bundle than it is without it even if the bundle receives no changes between now and then. Also I would rather the bundle keep the rabbit hide recipe and do more than change it to leather and do the same.
    2. Perhaps a way to implement some of the suggestions made in this comments section is to have bundle enchantments, where the unenchanted bundle remains unchanged but bundle enchantments improve its functionality later in the game.
Some additional enchantment ideas could include:
    a. Bigger bundles, a three level enchantment adding say 64 spaces per level for a total of 256 spaces
    b. stacking nonstackables, a level 30 enchantment making every bundled item only take up 1 slot. Mutually exclusive with bigger bundles.
    Names can be changed.

I really love bundles, they have served me well in a survival playthrough, but their availability is a major issue.
In my eyes, bundles are for the early game, to enable players to explore further without needing to decide on a location for a base, so ideally, you should be able to realistically get a few bundles without needing to sit in one spot for an extended period of time, currently, this is not feasible, as you can only get bundles by crafting, which uses rabbit skins, which suffers from the fact that (without farming rabbits, which requires being in one spot for an extended period of time,) rabbits are few and far between due to where they spawn and how they spawn (biomes, the need for an air block over grass, sand, or a snow block, their group size of 1 adult,) and then (in my experience) you only get a rabbit skin 50% of the time.
My ideas for possible solutions are as follows

    1. Add bundles to low-level leatherworkers, so that you can buy a bundle from them without needing to farm too many emeralds
    2. Allow rabbits to spawn in more biomes, or have more of them spawn, or have them ignore snow layers or grass plants
    3. Guarantee a rabbit skin to drop from adult rabbits

Allow the player to cycle through bundles so they can choose what item they want to take out rather than them having to either empty the bundle or remove all the items ontop of it first
