I really hope we can get this going! I am registered as legally blind and no longer play much on TVs or PCs. VR is the only way I can get immersed in a game because of being able to touch, move and have full surround sound. To have Minecraft on the quest would be a dream come true. As I can no longer play it on a console or PC without straining my eyes or not seeing much at all. Please bring it to the Quest!

    Hi MS team,
The Quest has been a game charger in the VR space. Minecraft has also been a game charger in the gaming space. We need this!!!!

The vr minecraft would need to updated on bedrock, its a bit behind vivecart in terms of vr play, but the optimization is better on Bedrock, so it would be nice to see bedrock vr minecraft updated more.

Minecraft is an amazing game in VR, and it’s only available on limited platforms, so if they do end up putting it on the quest/go then it would be a huge investment and players around the world could play Minecraft VR.

I would really love a Quest version to be released, it's a game my children got me into by helping them create their worlds with them. A Quest version I can only imagine how good it would be, I play a lot of No Mans Sky on PSVR due to being able to build towns and colony's in VR but Minecraft would be a dream come true for myself and many others. Fingers tightly crossed. 🤞🙂🤞

    This would be awesome!

I just recently recieved my Oculus Quest, and it baffles me that there's not a single official way of playing Minecraft on it. To me, it seems quite obvious to include.

Minecraft is a game where you have to constantly turn around and explore, look behind your back and tons of other interactions that can be hindered by stepping into wires all the time - more so than most games I've played on my Rift S.

On top of that, Minecraft is an excellent game for the portability and Party-like side of the Quest, since a lot of people are familiar with Minecraft. That way, Minecraft on the Quest can become a lot of peoples introduction to VR, and both expand the Minecraft scene and VR scene.

Although it only looks like 5000 people are currently interested, that's such a small portion of the oculus quest users and we all know atleast a quarter will probably buy it which is atleast 200,000 users from the most recent report of sold units, I think the main reason we dont see 10s of thousands of votes is because we didnt know we needed to vote for it. If Microsoft thinks they wont get many sales on quest because of the low number of votes, I hope they take my comment into consideration, also many pcvr games like superhot and beat saber have seen massive sales on quest compared to their pcvr counterparts so it's not too hard to imagine the same for minecraft

My daughter,Tamara was 4 when she first started playing Minecraft.Shes 12 now and playing Minecraft as I type this. She I s so excited at the opportunity to play it on the quest, but unfortunately I can't get viva craft to run.10 years ago Minecraft was revolutionary.

The quest and Minecraft working together will be remembered as the start of the next era in gaming.

Thanks for the update Nova. I'm really happy to see y'all looking into this. Minecraft is a great experience in VR which is only hampered by being tethered to the PC (such as for the Rift version). I love the 6DOF for building and enjoying my creations, but having to unwind myself every few minutes is a huge pain. A Quest version would totally alleviate that. It's exactly the type of experience I want to have after a long day at work: total freedom to build and total freedom to move around without wires.

My only question would be how multiplayer would work. It would be amazing to have full crossplay and realms compatibility with other bedrock versions.

I would LOVE to see Minecraft come to the Oculus Quest, I feel it would be the best immersive experience for Minecraft because it would have 6DOF and no wires holding you back. Please bring Minecraft to the Quest!!

Like many others, I thought a Quest version would be a no brainer, but it seems something is stopping that version from happening.

    My wallet is ready.

    See you at OC6? 😬

This is great, I have never tried VR. I am definitely anticipating this release, I currently play bedrock simply because my friends don’t all have a computer. I would like bedrock on quest, it would definitely persuade me into trying vr. I remember they used to have video filters on java, I always used the 3D red & cyan. It was definitely amazing! I bought the 3ds version just for the 3D aspect but alas, I was only playable in 2D. I understand it was probably hardware limitations, but man have I been anticipating this!

Is there a way to play worlds from one device on another if you are using the same account? I would actually cry if I could experience my old worlds in vr

Microsoft is making a huge mistake if they don't port Minecraft to the Quest. I know people that would by a Quest JUST for Minecraft.

I mean why not? Like Beat Saber it would sell almost 1:1 with each headset. You already have the Gear VR version as a base to start from. Plus, 6DOF and proper VR controls!

I'm saving for a quest and the game is already on samsung gear vr so... why is it not here yet? Its probobly easier on the go because the gear and go are so similar in hardware and features. But I understand optimising for quest would be mutch more difficult, still that's a large and still growing fanbase 😉

Since Minecraft already runs on mobile (via Bedrock), and since Mojang long ago came out with mobile VR (via GearVR), it would seem relatively trivial to support Oculus Quest. Why Quest support hasn't already happened is a real mystery, especially given the absolute "game over" win it would be for Microsoft & Mojang.

Minecraft is the absolutely perfect application for VR so a big upvote for Bedrock/Quest support here, especially as the Bedrock API continues to develop and Minecraft becomes a true game engine. Let's make this happen M&M!

I think putting Minecraft on the quest officially would be a super move. Not only would old players buy the game, but I'm sure new players would come in. I think this would in turn raise interest in other versions of Minecraft, including the classic version and future AR versions. But foremost, I think that by releasing a Quest version you would be contributing to creativity, the videogame world, and art across the world. So many people's lives would be enriched by this move, and I don't think one can hope to do more on earth :).
