With the Oculus Quest being a completely untethered VR experience, I feel it would be the perfect place for Minecraft to be implemented into. Exploring a world in VR is already amazing, adding it to the untethered Oculus Quest would make It much more available to the average person.

My dream: play on Quest, standing or sitting, options to teleport or walk using stick, parkour moving, mine using controlers or hands tracking + gestures (fitness mine!), special fly mode exclusive to quest (play supermineman!), mods and servers for quest only or mixed...

Hello Mojang, I understand that this might be a more complicated endeavor than we are making it out to be, however, the payoff of a completely wireless VR Minecraft would be exponential. One of the reasons Minecraft has stayed on top of the competition for so long is the fact that a great team constantly adds updates and content to a already packed game. I truly believe that a fully supported oculus quest port would be the next big step for Minecraft. People are so desperate for this in the VR community that they are side loading the gear VR version onto their devices themselves, which is not an easy thing to do. That version of the game doesn’t even support the touch controllers or fancy graphics with large render distances but people are still going head over heals to get the game onto their headset. Even people who haven’t played Minecraft in years are still working to try out this game for themselves. Not only would this port be a huge deal for you it would also be one of the most immersive and incredible experiences for VR. I see people buying the quest just for VR Minecraft as a major possibility. Please mojang move on this opening and port Minecraft to the quest.

I hope give us the option to swing our tools to use them or use the triggers and buttons, and the ability to have crouch be used for a button or you actually have to crouch, but please Just give us confirmation, will it be on the quest or not?!

Bringing this to the Quest would help put a stop to my 13 year old son asking if it’s available yet. Plus I could then play it after he went to bed.

Although no java version makes sense due to the fact that the java version / application is purely coded / made for computers and desktops as, bedrock is the mobile+console counterpart. Who wouldn't want to go to the nether and fight ghasts and blazes all in pure first person view. One very nice feature would be arm movement, and yes it would be difficult but It should be easier to do then the java one which, doesn't have an official one and uses vivecraft, but if those people can do it I'm sure the company is able to do it. Controller / gamepad support should be probably the first added, however please think about using the Oculus Quest controllers, as those would work for a gamepad too, but having arm movement would be the most immersive Minecraft could be. Being able to swing and slash at Zombies and Skeletons with actual arm movement in real time and shooting with a bow whilst aiming with one eye open. Being able to swing your pickaxe high in the air and down on some diamond ore, being able to break it fully and irl. All these features sound amazing and I hope this is what we get. I feel only game pad support would be slightly disappointing but if arm movement + locomotion was added, I guarantee that those features would make Minecraft a completely new game. Yes It would take a long time to work on but It would be worth it in the end.
