Update: September 2019
Hello!
I have news from our team regarding Oculus Go/Quest:
While we have decided against a Java client for these platforms, we are still monitoring interest in a Bedrock version for these platforms.
This information has been added to our Previously Considered Suggestions list with the reason above.
We appreciate everyone's great input on this topic, and look forward to continuing the discussion on this topic. That said:
Just a quick handy tip - if you're going to add a comment about "I agree" or "I disagree" to this post (and others) please feel free to elaborate on your position. The feedback site is not designed for petition posts (we can pretty much tell a lot of you agree because that's what the vote button is for), and the comment area should be used ONLY for discussion.
To be consistent with other "super popular posts", going forward, simple +1 and "I agree posts" (and similar) will continue to be removed.
Thanks!
What do you mean by quest?
I am surprised that there are not more people advocating for this!?!
Wow we really need more people to express their interest for quest support. Mojang and Microsoft would be stupid not to give legit support for vr. Personally, I think Mojang is working on native controller support and bug searching because of vr's higher variable count.
No thanks if they put any version on the quest it'd be bedrock. complete waste of time
I wonder if the reason why Microsoft has not created more VR versions of Minecraft is to avoid competition with the Hololens?
After playing Minecraft on the Gear VR, I am very disappointed that the Oculus Go and Oculus Quest do not have Minecraft through official means. I have installed the Gear VR to each the Go and the Quest via sideloading and it works great, so the effort to release Minecraft on the Go and Quest seems trivial. Please Mojang! Minecraft is the game that initially convinced me to even invest in VR! Minecraft VR is one of the best ways to experience both Minecraft and VR.
why has no one in the minecraft team suggest this it would make minecraft loads of money plus we get a good expericne
Yea. New quest and go owner would love minecraft on them........ please port soon.
@Blast Burner
The Oculus quest is a new oculus product similar in concept to the oculus rift.
We need Minecraft on Quest and Go. Why the heck haven't they already realeased versions for both?
Great idea would love if it happened
The gear vr version works well if you side load it but being able to use the touch controllers would be the best
Already side loaded the Gear VR version and the code already supports 6DOF. :) That said, a fully supported native version, supporting native controls, would be really great!
This would be amazing if it was like the vive craft mod
Really hope this becomes a thing. The Oculus Quest would be a great way to experience Minecraft and a port of the game to the system would make many sales because 1) Minecraft is awesome and 2) at this moment in time, there are not tons of games with lots of replayability factor, though there will be more coming up. So Minecraft would be able to capitalize on an open market essentially.
Oculus quest port PLEASE with full roomscale interaction! Thank you
I just wanna mine with my pickaxe in real life
We need this, please give the people what they want!
I'm honestly surprised this wasn't there at Quest launch. If there's anything that could get me to buy Minecraft for the Xteenth time (okay, only like 5th or 6th) it's the Quest.
It would be absolutely amazing to see Minecraft come to the quest in it full glory!!!!! Please make this happen
I need this so badly!!
This to be a full 6dof touch-controller supported bedrock version if possible, not simply a copy of the gear VR version
I want 6DoF like im used to on ViveCraft.
Would love to have this on the Quest!
