A hot Biome that has Lava, Magma Block, and cooled lava block. These mountains would be the tallest of the game, with the lava level at Y150 and crater edge at Y200. This volcano will be huge and take up the entire Biome. The Volcano would erupt every so often on one side. It would have many lava falls. Villages exist on the side of the crater that is not on the eruption side. Snow also exists on the non eruption side. The eruption side has way more lava falls. The volcanic crater is open air like it has erupted before. The villager homes are made with cooled lava block(a solid, black block). MOJANG PLEASE USE THIS IDEA!!!!!!!!!!

Good idea! Seems like Mojang is starting on this idea in the latest snapshots, but in the nether. With the basalt and blackstone, and now a particle effect called volcanic ash in the new biome (I think it's called basalt deltas). And you can't have volcanic ash without a volcano! Also, if they do add something like this, I hope they add a new ore with it. Something along the lines of lavastone (I feel like thats already a real thing though) or magmastone. I'd want it to have an amber look. Or they could add a real ore called bauxite (they'd probably call it nether bauxite because they call quartz nether quartz). Maybe they could also use this as a way to implement the red dragon.
Brilliant! I love the idea of a volcanic biome. However, I think that the biome shouldn’t just be a single volcano, but many: some active ones with flows of lava, others dormant ones with obsidian and the new basalt blocks where the lava used to be. The biome should also contain hot springs (lakes with magma blocks beneath) and chasms containing lava and magma. The volcanoes should be large but not unreasonably sized - slightly taller than the extreme hills. Inside, they should contain a feed pipe - which runs from the bottom of the crater to the lava lakes near the bedrock layer. It would be composed of a tube of obsidian, basalt and other volcano-themed blocks and should have lava and magma at the core of it is in an active volcano, but not if it is part of a dormant one. I like the idea of villages on the sides of the volcano, but there should also be some abandoned villages near lava flows that have been buried under ash and lava from past eruptions, like Pompeii.
Oof I couldent text back then xD
This could be treated like a sort of over-world nether, and the inhabitants of the villages could maybe be comprised of Piglins, but with a lack of the new nether vegetation. Or, at the very least, I imagine it’d be hot enough for the Piglins and Hoglins to survive naturally near active volcanoes.
Very unique! I like that the volcano would be large and take up the biome.
As for the snow, I would expect it to be based on the elevation like it already does. There's snow on Mount Saint Helens...
I would imagine the sky could be smokey (large gray layered clouds. I would also smokescreen the view, kind of like the limited visibility under water. Caves in this biome would also have the smokescreen which would make it a little more challenging.
Sorry for my English but if there were some diamonds underneath, outside or inside the volcano, that would. Be another reason to go searching for the volcano biome. Nice idea though.
This would actually work out but the eruption would be hard maybe add some variants on it also due to the Nether update maybe you can find some basalt and some white particle fallung
I relly love this idea and i would add a new hostile mob like a wyvern
This biome should be small, and have much more diamonds underground (large clasters like coal clusters, or standard size clusters but many of them)
well, now that the 1.16 snapshots reveal the nether basalt biome, supposedly made from "volcanic activity," this could be a real thing.
Just to say they kinda have added that idea to minecraft now. But instead of having volcanoes in the over world they added a biome in the nether for the nether update that’s surpose to be place were volcanos used to be there. Because it has ashes and some of the areas look like a volcano.
What if instead the volcanic was smaller, but the whole biome is an ashy wasteland with charred trees, fossils, magma block, and lots of ash, and for a more dangerous element, what if the rain in that biome did damage or poison the player, either way, good suggestion!
If they add ash or volcano ash an item, that should be incorporated into the concrete powder recipe. Like three sand, three gravel, two ash, and the dye color of choice, that would more closely reflect actually concrete powder. That's how romans made concrete, with volcano ash. Would be fitting if there were city ruins like pompeii also from roman times under the cooled lava.
Also maybe a volcano eruption could be the biome specific version of thunderstorm? So when its thundering in the other biomes, in this one its an eruption with lava rain and maybe a certain part of the volcano spawns lava source blocks. Worse case if its too extreme players can choose to sleep through it.
I really like the idea of the volcano biome but I think the eruptions would be kind of pointless.
If volcanoes were to be added to Minecraft, it could be hard to not make them not look like a mess since Minecraft worlds don't usually generate huge structures like that. But as long as it doesn't end up looking like a mess, I support your idea. If volcanoes were added, it would make sense to restrict lava so that it only generates in that specific biome, at least above ground level. This could potentially make it harder to obtain obsidian, but oh well.
You could also have ash fill the air and ground nearby. On the ground, it would look like snow, but dark gray. In the air, it would give the player the blindness effect and also damage them.
This would be nice, but how about the magma bombs and spraying lava? (if possible)
The screen could start shaking a bit before the eruption. There could also be a network of tunnels inside with one or two chests, maybe even a ruined portal. The volcano could also be in the nether (most probably basalt deltas, as it is considered the remains of volcanic activity.
To have volcanoes need must first add underground lava lakes (very large). And it will be only after caves update.
there could be a sub biome below the volcano on the non erupted side that is very lush like a jungle but less dense it could introduce new plants as food
好主意,我支持
I think if it were to be so tall and difficult to climb, they would need to add another boss of sorts to it.

Ouiiiiiii trop bien
the idea is interesting but the scale seems too big for Minecraft and it would require relatively good hardware
Also i don't see how Mojang would do the Eruptions thing but i'm in for the idea
PLS ADD THIS IN 1.16 NOWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
