    i like the idea of more ores but i feel like it could complicate the game too much, but more underground structures eg, forgotten temples, dilapidated mine shafts, underground villages could spice up gameplay!

    as well as ore blocks for granite andesite diorite and sandstone could be nice!

    all though minecraft at its core should be a game that anyone can start playing and get the hang of so overcomplicating it with more ores could be a tad bit over the top, but could be good for a mod!

    Prioritize exploration. Add a couple ores in-between iron and diamond, and make more generate in caves and less just in chunks. Maybe even a couple structures with unique loot, that only generate with enough room. At the same time, add more cave types, make them more winding and more of them. this would mean that it's a lot harder to just strip mine, moving you to go caving, and would also make caving more interesting. This would make the "Mine" part of "Minecraft" a lot more fun.
