I feel that there would be Rice Seeds, or the Rice would be planted in the dirt in the water to make it growing, and bone meal should affect it's growth. The maximum height would be 12-18 blocks

Maybe you could make a portal out of 4 Obsidian, 2 Netherrack on the bottom, 2 dirt on the top, and 4 End Stone. And it should take you to a big island separated by the 3 dimensions separated apart...
