So let's be honest here. All this update adds are 4 new mobs (1 of which was promised like 2 updates ago), 2 new biomes (1 of which was also promised a while ago) and some new items. For a name like 'THE WILD UPDATE' this is actually very underwhelming and has almost nothing to do with anything WILD. In fact I personally believe this should be called 'CAVES AND CLIFFS 3' cause deep dark and warden were originally meant to be part of oh caves and cliffs update, but even then we are still missing archaeology and bundles.
When a person hears 'The Wild Update', they think of major revamps of biomes such as the Savannah, desert, BIRCH FOREST and other biomes. They think of a plethora of new mobs that are actually related to the wilderness being added, not just a new swamp and cave biome with a couple of new mobs that are somewhat useless (seriously the only you thing you gain from killing warden is bragging rights) and that's it.
For a name like the Wild, the update is pretty bland and fans would probably be less disappointed if it wasn't given such a name in the first place.

Good update but I really hate the colour of the mud block, it is way too gray making it look out of place with the other natural dirt blocks, i really think the colour of the mud needs to be more brown to fit better.

This was SUCH a great update! I think, in the future, maybe don't get people too excited for the update. Everyone assumed that your ideas were promises (The birch forest was concept art, but everyone is super mad because they thought you promised it), and everyone was so excited that they let their imaginations wander, and nothing can ever live up to your imaginations. I think you did incredibly on this update. The only thing that frustrates me is removing fireflies instead of simply making frogs not eat them. Other than that, this is one of the best updates, and the main problem was getting everyone's hopes EXTREMELY high.

I think both the deep dark and mangrove swamp biomes should spawn more frequently. In turn also creating more ancient cities. We want to experience and explore the new parts of the update. Mangrove swamps simply have no right to be this rare. Now the deep dark being more on the rare side makes sense, but even when using the locate command, I had to travel thousands of blocks for each deep dark areas. That made the ancient cities so rare that without the aid of commands or external tools, I simply wouldn't have found one.

Let me be frank, this update really lacked substance. I am not making this comment about that, and I bring it up because I believe the rarity of the new content worsens the problem a whole lot. When you are walking around a new world and it feels like nothing has changed, it a bit heard breaking. Now I really want to say that I have been a big fan of Minecraft and supporter of you, the developers, for many years now. But I must admit that even my faith is starting to waver. We have all seen you create amazing content and blow us away, for example the neither update. You can redeem yourselves in the eyes of the community, but only if you acknowledge and learn from your mistakes.

That leads me to my last suggestion. Continue the Wild Update. You don't have to switch themes just yet.  You could instead release more features in "patches." One patch you create the birth forest, and then another patch, and then one or however many more.

ArkhamBiscuit I respectfully disagree. While I agree that both biomes should generate more commonly, I do not think that it is a huge issue. It is very easy to use sites such as chunkbase to locate seeds with nearby 1.19 features, such as the seeds Soul and kingbdogz. I also do not think the birch forest needs to be added as a "patch". It was just concept art. No one ever said it was going to be added. I understand your point of view, but I must disagree.

Please please change mangrove tree behavior ! If all logs are chopped please make the roots decay the same as leaves do!

It is extremely tedious having to remove all the root garbage just to collect a couple logs.

The roots out number the logs 3 to 1 if not more in most cases. It’s extremely unsatisfying

While I still long for fireflies and birch trees, I appreciate features like The Deep Dark! The Mangrove Swamp is by far my favorite biome in the game, and new blocks like Froglights are fantastic. Thank you so much for all of your work on Minecraft! I see how tough it may be to satisfy the community's expectations, but I wanted you to know that I'm pleased with this update and looking forward to seeing what you may do in the future!

I have to say, it is disappointing to notice that most of the time I create a world randomly, it's really hard to find any of the new stuff. There has to be a way to balance the biomes a little more. I think the common forests are too much, because I've never seen a mangrove swamp in my worlds, and it's super hard to find the deep dark. I've also never seen an allay, I think they can be found in Pillager Outposts.
I think the stuff in the update itself is super awesome though!!!

in bedrock on my device and those of my friends who are 2 and 3gb ram my device is an iPad Air2 iOS and loading chunks is extremely horrible we do not advance more than 50 blocks to take more than 3 minutes to load you can not even use Elitros , I hope they improve performance seriously , this is the worst bedrock step of having a good performance for all ranges to a mediocre sincerely overall is a good update its failures were the swamp that was supposed to be an atmospheric improvement in the and did not change anything , only frogs and of course the lousy performance

Hello :) as a peaceful player, we are unable to obtain froglights without magmas spawning. It would be geat if another method of obtaining froglights were to become available at some point in future so that myself and other peaceful players are able to take part in that segment of the update.

Another frog feature which is very, very limited in it's access in peaceful is frog breeding without slimes and slime balls (slime balls being only available through sneezing baby pandas and wandering traders).

    Thanks for the consideration :)

The spreading mechanic with the Sculk Catalyst is really cool. One change that should be taken into consideration is that the Catalyst should be able to make more Catalyst so that the Sculk could theoretically infinitely spread. The Sculk Catalyst should have a 1% chance to be created by another Catalyst. The Sculk would be able to travel between Catalysts, letting it spread further. This would be a small but very interesting feature, and it would make players a bit wary about placing the Catalyst above ground, as they may start an Sculk infestation.

With the new mangrove swamps and how it's the wild update, could we get some sort of expanded block set for mangrove roots and maybe even a block set for bamboo! That would be very interesting to see

GreekDemon11 Bundles are command-obtainable in Java. The plan is to add them once they can figure how they will work on Pocket Edition. Archaeology is being worked on, and is being suspended for the foreseeable future. But who knows? Maybe by 1.20 they'll have figured it out? :) (Not a guarantee, just a possibility)

Just one thing, why did you change the sculk shreikers to not take a redstone signal? I know someone submitted a bug report and it was reviewed as intentional but i hope it gets reverted because i had a map i was working on that completely doesn't work now, it had the warden spawn in if the player made too much noise with testfor commands forcing the spawn for players that tried to sprint through the map. Hope this massage reached you!

I think the update could have been just a tad bit larger. It would have been better by implementing some of the biome vote updates, birch forests, and maybe another variation of the lush caves that could perhaps be merged with the highly-supported cherry blossoms suggestion. Disregarding the scale however, the update was very good.

I loved the update but I think Mojang revealed to much about it so when it came out, a lot of people (including me) viewed it as mediocre. Minecraft is definitely my favourite game ever, but I think Mojang reveals a bit too much about updates and that can make it a bit boring.

I’m unhappy that the “Birch Forest Update” was just “Concept art”. We should turn the birch forest update a Reality

    I have two big concerns.
    1. Parity.
I know that parity is a work-in-progress and not everything is immediate, but some features are small enough that they truly should’ve been changed years ago. Firstly, the new paintings look amazing, but, unless I’m missing something, they’re not even in bedrock edition- and originally they were a bedrock exclusive! And building features like floating flower pots or commands like locate biome could be really useful to all players and yet it seems they’ve been completely overlooked.
    2. Mangrove Swamps.
I was so excited to find a mangrove swamp and explore the biome, but upon my arrival it just felt dead. There were only frogs and fish, and the landscape consisted only of mangrove trees. I think a new flower (maybe a mangrove-red color), maybe even muddy pigs, or a new tall-grass variant could make the biome come to life. And after the removal of fireflies, this could be the perfect chance to add a new particle-emitter like the spore blossom.

More types of birds and birds can spawn in different biomes than just the dark forest and possibly make some of them eat your seeds in minecraft I would really appreciate some feedback on this and maybe some ideas of how they could help players

"When broken each Minecart variant drops itself as item, instead of splitting into two items (such as Chest and Minecart)" this is... not great.

I can see how such a change might be useful for folks because it spares you having to reassamble the minecart with [item] every time you break them but the awful downside is this change is PERMANENT. It saves you a whole click of a button, but now functionailty is limited. If you make a minecart with TNT, you are now stuck with it forever. If say you needed a bunch of new Minecarts with Furnaces for a project, rather than repurposing some other minecarts temporarily you are now faced with permanently being stuck with a lot of Minecarts w Furnaces that you can't use for anything else! This creates extra demand for iron as you'll now need to make more minecarts (and find somewhere to store them) for various things rather than repurposing existing ones in a pool if that's all you need. I suppose you could use a Minecart w Furnace as a regular stationary furnace, but now you've gotta fork out iron for rails, too. You also can't use a sign on a Minecart with Chest, so labelling will get tricky for those.

Perhaps a variant such as a "sticky minecart" made with slime that would permanently bind the two together and allow them to be both placed and dropped as one item, vs the regular which would dissassemble on breaking.

Otherwise I've been enjoying the new biome blending and mangrove swamps. Can't wait to assemble a horde of frogs :)
