Have you heard? The Wild Update is out today! Not only is this one of our deepest, darkest releases yet, but we've also added plenty of other new features that will hopefully help to *ahem*...Allay your fears before entering the unknown. These include mangrove swamps, frogs, boats with chests, and more.

Of course, we want to hear what you have to say about this update and so let us know your thoughts and feedback in the comments!

Changelog: Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

Bug, support, status of release and gameplay question posts will be removed.

Parity is something that's super important to our developers so everyone gets the same experience across Java and Bedrock. While this doesn't always happen simultaneously, major features that have been announced are in the works for both clients. Don't worry!

    1.20 is pretty close, mabye we should add natural disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, and others of the sort

    It didn't have custom world gen and super flats on bedrock so I don't care

    I feel like there will soon be a massive upset in gaming as old favorite games that were considered the top of the heap are slipping, fortnite's battle pass and xp are messed up, same for warzone and overwatch, and Minecraft has just been disappointing with it's updates and lack of official server support and diverse weapons means that it is in danger of being usurped by Hytale so we will see were things go

    I've got to say that 1.19.1 is the most garbage update Mojang has ever released. How do you ban someone from playing the game? People should have free speech and get to say whatever they want, and the mods of the servers should be responsible for banning them. Also, I get randomly kicked from my own server for "chat validation failure". I don't even know if that has anything to do with the update, but it is annoying. Please remove this. I feel that if you guys are scared of 6 year olds being exposed to bad language, the mothers should be responsible for what their kids are doing on the computer

    The Wild Update is very cool! I like the new mobs, they really add more dimension to Minecraft. I wish we had fireflies though, I was really looking forward to that and I hope you add them in the next update. Maybe fireflies can only spawn in the dark in other biomes (if not in the swamp) and you can catch them in a jar (or Minecraft bottle?) but you need to release them so they can live longer and they have a shorter lifespan in the jar. If placing can be added as a feature, "fireflies in a jar" can be a new ambient/warm light source to add to builds, or work like lanterns. It would be interesting to see the fireflies flying around in the jar (maybe the more you collect, the more you see, but there is a max limit). Maybe players who are roaming at night can find a sparkle (a group of fireflies) and stay safe there because fewer mobs spawn there (because fireflies are a light source). Also, we need blue dye and yellow dye to combine to make green dye please.

    they should add a quarry and you need to mine inside it and there will be chests and rare ores

    Wild update part II? (To have a themed update for revamping older biomes- Birch, Savanah, desert, Mesa).
    if fireflies were for pure aesthetic, make a firefly or “glowfly” nest that spews out glowing particles when nighttime approaches (similar to lush cave flower), maybe the nest itself could be a light source since moving entities as light sources are nearly impossible. All particles would return back to nest at daybreak. Having them as individual entities would be too much for the game’s performance. If people still expect to be able to catch them in bottles/jars, left-clicking the nest with a bottle would remove particle effect & give player 1 fly (perhaps the queen?). Placing the fly back to the nest would restore the particles.
    In these updates, people want something to do or for the game itself to push them to do something, but sometimes players just have to seek out what that is. Think outside the box. I’m happy with how the game is going and I don’t expect any of these changes to happen soon or at all (mods can cover it anyways), just hope the dev team the best.

    "Parity is something that's super important to our developers " this is either a  lie or the developers are incompetent, there isn't much space for a middle ground here. there are several bugs and version differences that super apparent and that have not been changed for many years now.
