Honestly, I don't think this fits very well in the game at all given it's current state. As it stands, frostbite is something that could easily just be replaced with suffocation damage, and having to wear any amount of leather armor is just such an incredible burden that no one is going to actually bother to do so, especially when the only benefit is to not take an amount of damage that is so slow that you can easily survive indefinitely just off of saturation from food alone if you are trapped in the powdered snow.

In addition, I seems as though it can't be picked up and removed through normal methods like a shovel or fists right now, so this makes it an incredibly toxic mechanic for trolling if it stays this way. If you trap a new player in powdered snow that has nothing on them, if the snow is two blocks deep they have no possible way to free themselves. They just have to sit there for 2 minutes and wait for the frostbite to kill them. And if someone goes so far as to give them full leather armor with curse of binding on it through dispensers, they will be stuck there forever with no way to die. (except hunger, maybe.)

As of right now the enire concept of this item is somehow both overpowered and underpowered at the same time, and without change it will be one of the worst items in the game made so far imo.

Add renewable powder snow. In Java, you can put cauldrons during snowy weather to create powder snow. At the moment you cannot do this in Bedrock, please do add that functionality!

The speed at which you get frostbite in powder snow needs to be faster. Additionally, it should take time to dissipate, and not just immediately go away upon leaving the powder snow. As it is, you fall into powder snow and can immediately jump back out, not taking any damage at all. It is similar to if you became not on fire upon leaving a fire or lava block. Yes, it should take a few seconds for you to freeze, but not 15, as this simply leaves far too much time to escape. I would recommend 3. In regard to after you leave powder snow, your frostbite should dissipate after the same amount of time as fire, this time being decreased when in higher light levels. Also, snow golems should not take damage in powder snow, as they are literally made of snow.

PS should "flow", though tens of times slower than lava and only 6 block outward on a flat plane (but in the case of crevasses, all PSs would not flow). However, if a block is placed next to it, or if you have 10% of bad luck in which you walk on PS without snowshoes, and depending on the amount of gravity-affected blocks above it including non-source PS block, it will unleash its power and flow 50 times faster than water, causing all blocks of PS it was in contact with to carry all mobs (which goats are good at evading) in its path down the mountain until it loses all of its momentum. This isn't dangerous unless it carries you off a cliff.

The PS could carry the avalanche-triggering signal up the mountains and to the side of the triggered block, but with a defined limit, whereas the signal could be carried down the mountain until it reaches the bottom.

Eventually all the flowing powder snow will become source blocks. This has one up-side and one down-side.

    Up-side: Powder snow is renewable.

Down-side: Now more of the mountain is covered in powder snow. However all powder snow that makes it below Y=60 will melt.

In Minecraft you can pillar up without having to even touch anything below the peak of a mountain. But climbing a mountain should not be that easy. So, in conjunction with the other factors, having powder snow on 1/5 slopes could ruin all your progress without making it close to the steep slopes of a mountain and making bridging/pillaring a very tedious task.

However, I should mention that unstable (non-triggered) powder snow will not flow infinitely down a hill. For each block it moves forward after it has flowed six blocks outward, it increases its chance to stop flowing down a hill by 30% for every block it flows out.

Freezing should also slowdown your mining/attack speed since being frozen would limitate your movimentarion as a whole! That would make Powder Snow even more distinct and actually threatening which would be really cool!

Maybe powder snow could kill you quicker, but I think the key feel of powder snow is that you are completely trapped in it and for the amount of time it takes to escape if there even is a way, you will not make it in time. When you get cold, you get mining fatigue and under all that snow (and sand and gravel for that matter) your hands cannot reach your mouth and thus eating food is not possible. Here is part of where the inspiration came from.

Snow Foxes and Snow Villagers should be resistant to freezing.

Powder snow should slow your mining speed when inside it, similar to water.

So the theme seems to be: Something that's somewhere between a fluid and a solid.

It's broken like a solid block,

but it's scooped up in buckets like a fluid.

    You can stand on it like a solid block, but only with the right shoes;

without them, you sink through it and it kills you like a fluid.

It looks like a solid block from outside,

and like a fluid when your head is stuck in it.

In light of all that, I think powdered snow should be affected by gravity, like both fluids and like some solid blocks.

There should be a second version of this, perhaps "condensed snow" blocks. It should be harder to get out of, similar to spider webs. Due to its density it should also fall like sand blocks via placement or mining.

To make powder snow more challenging

    1. Make it a gravity block

    2. Make it that if you get frozen you get mining fatigue so it will be difficult to get out

    3. Increase the height of powder snow in mountains

Loving all the features of this block. I have a couple thoughts after testing it.

Freezing should slow down your digging. Like when in cobwebs. This would allow you to get out of it if your quick but become more dificult if your indecisive.

Also I think it should be affected by gravity like gravel/sand since it is not a "solid" block.

It would be awesome if powder snow "aquifers" generated in the new caves in snowy biomes.

Wolves shouldnt take cold damage in powdered snow, or add a wolf variant that doesnt

Would be pretty neat because in real life, there are wolves that live in snow

Also, since skeletons become strays with slowness arrows when they sit in powdered snow too long, i think it would be really neat if shooting arrows through powdered snow gave them a slowing effect. Similar to how shooting an arrow through fire or lava sets the arrow on fire!

it should probably spread slow like lava and not just a block

What if powder snow blocks are affected by gravity? There will be nore challenge, right? 😀

I think that the frost walker enchantment should let you walk on powder snow so frost walker has more uses and leather isn't the only boot type that can walk on powder snow. This does not mean you won't need any other leather amour so you don't die of the cold.

There should be an enchantment (perhaps use Frost Walker) to make it so you can walk on Powdered Snow without Leather Boots.

A change for powder snow is to be able to dye it, it would be interesting to be able to see powder snow in different colors. take it as a joke

I like the freeze effect, but limiting it to a single trap block is too much of a waste. You could start freezing during snowfalls if you don't have at least one piece of leather armor, although obviously slower, or snowfalls during a storm could be much stronger, which could freeze you at higher speeds

You should sink slightly slower in powder snow to increase its danger. This might seem like a nerf, but it actually makes powder snow more dangerous because the longer you spend sinking, the more difficult it is to mine your way out.

I like it naturally spawning, however I still think it should fall like sand does to make it harder to dig out of.
