secondo me i gufi sono ottimi volatili da aggiungere alle foreste, secondo me dovranno vivere sopra dei nidi nei quali faranno le uova, che i Phantom vorranno distruggere quindi i nidi saranno anche da proteggere

Owls could hunt arthropods at night, since their real life diet includes invertebrates such as spiders.

This is a wonderful idea! Very creative and would love to see this in the future. Maybe in a magic update?

I’m a bit confused on what you mean by “deliver signed books” I have no idea what you’re even talking about how do sign books in Minecraft?

Owls should be rarely found in the Oak, Birch, and Taiga biomes

They should be more commonly found in Roofed Forests and the mega variants of Birch and Taiga

    Love the idea.

In fact, for some additional traits:

-Non-Tamed/Wild Owls could naturally attack rabbits, chickens, and other smaller mobs when hunting at night since real owls are nocturnal hunters.

-They wouldn't be able to fly during rainstorms/thunderstorms since their feathers aren't waterproof.

-Owls could be hard to hear when flying since real owls fly completely silently.

-There could be a number of owl variants depending on the biome.

Either way, I hope this idea makes it in.

It'd be good but the trees don't really have the height or look to support owls. Owls like to hide in trees, wait on limbs. We don't really have tree limbs. And 90% of trees are only about 5-8 blocks tall excluding the leaves. We'd need twice that big for it to look right

I think that it is a good idea but, how about you can only tame them with beetroot seeds and that there would only be one type that could Cary items and book and quill and I think that it would only be called “Owl” and it should only be grey and do one point of damage.

I think this would work better as a mod but not in Vanilla as there has to be more than one person for this to be really useful. Maybe they could do something else because an owl in Minecraft, maybe in the Dark oak forest, is really nice maybe as an ambient mob that hunts at knight and brings you food like rabbit in the morning kind of like cats.

Good idea, maybe have a special type of book/ scroll that you would give to the owl, with a space for your name, the text, and a drop-down menu for the reviving player, and maybe have like a mailbox for the owl to deliver to as well.

That sounds really cool. But I also think they should deliver objects, too.

I would love the idea of an Owl or a Pigeon to be able to send letters to other players, maybe a cooldown so we can't spam players with them but I love the idea of this!

I don't think you should be able to tame them. Maybe have them become "trusting" like dolphins and axolotls.

Like others have commented, I think they should be able to deliver items to other players, not just books, as delivering just books is sending messages, a feature already handled by in-game chat. As for how the player would "interface" with the owl and tell it who to deliver the package to, when you give the item to the owl by right clicking the item in your hand on the owl, a popup menu will allow you to pick the recipient, similar to the list popups when trading with a villager.

As for added functionality for players in single player or low population server worlds, they could also add to the list of players some NPC players (who won't actually be in the world, just imagine they are in faraway lands) based on the roster of Mojang characters, like Steve, Alex, or all the others who were recently added to MC. The benefit to the player is that these "NPC Players" is that they may send something back. Bundles of blocks or items the player could use, such as rare items, useful building blocks, or possibly even new unique blocks/items that could be associated with future updates to the game that Mojang could tease by implementing this way, with quasi lore that the likes of Alex and Steve are in lands where these unknown locations structures or lands are.

As for unique mob interactions, perhaps make baby mobs scared of owls? Like baby zombies, baby cows, baby piglins, (and maybe take this opportunity to add more babies like baby skeletons or baby pillagers?)
