Villagers should give out quests, like a blacksmith will have you mine a certain amount of ores and will give you a good enchanted weapon or armor, or priest quests will give you a certain of potion, etc. Quests will give you a good amount of exp. enough to level up once or twice. The items quests give you should be what normally be challenging to get or something you can't get yourself. If there is no more quests, they will be new ones every 2 or 3 Minecraft days. Adventurers are villagers that go out in the world and if you don't live near a village, you can find an adventurer who can lead you back to his village, and he will have a special quest for you, like to a certain new boss that could be implemented into the game, the Giant Golem, this boss can be found in his deep underground fortress. Haven't thought of the mechanics of the fight or the way he acts. But yeah I think this would be an extremely cool feature to have.

Good idea!
I love this idea you have my vote
I thought of something similar only mine was an architect workstation that would let you upgrade villager defenses or summon an Evil Architect that would use banners to put you in charge of coquered towers and start an evil perk agroing Villagers and spawning pasive Pillagers you could have raid villages. Id call it the evil update.

Me gusta esta idea ya estaba aburrido de que solo se pudiera intercambiar objetos con los aldeanos
I like this idea but I think that after a certain amount of quests have been completed you will get a boss quest in which the boss you fight depends on the biome you're village is in for example Tundra = ice monster/Dragon or woods would be like a Cyclops or something. And there will be multiple levels of these increasing in difficulty each time.
I like this idea because you would always have something to do :).
Sounds cool, not so sure about the giant token but cool otherwide, I was thinking about this and I posted about it as well, maybe we have elder VILLAGERS that give out the quests and there is only one in each village, the quests are tailored to the Bio me the village is in
Quest Idea is good. But there should be a favour bar added with Quests. When it's the first lvl, you get extra's, like discount at the villager who you did the quest on. Also if the favour bar is maxed, then you get a high grade item or a item hard to find. A item that have to do with the profession of the villager. With the quest and favour they should add Village boss/major to give you harder quest like bosses. Like he can say "village was raided by pillagers, kill the pillager boss for me" Also can de village boss/major give you favour with every villager, like 1 lvl is you maxed Village boss/major.
Quest would more reliable with a extra system like this. Otherwise it look like the trading system too much..And then like a Weapon Smith would give you a quest of fighting a "Nearby bully" (Maybe a zombie king) or something like that and will give netherite scrap in return.
This would be a great way to encourage players to try new features in Minecraft. For instance, I’ve never gotten into brewing except for the occasional fire resistance potion, but I would be much more motivated to make loads of potions and thoroughly explore the feature if I got some sort of reward through a villager quest to do so. Simply put, this update would be a great incentive for players to explore less-used mechanics in the game.
I would like the service that the villager requested to have the following rules:
1 - The villager will follow the player for the duration of the service.
1 - The villager demands 1 iron nugget every day from the MC. Otherwise, the service will be canceled.
2 - The villager may be waiting like dogs and cats at the behest of the player. But if the player is more than 50 blocks away, the service will be canceled.
3 - If the villager dies. The service will be canceled (protect the villager!).
4 - If the villager receives rotten meat from the player, the service will be canceled.
5 - The best and most difficult reward will be the dragon cell (allows the player to mount a dragon).I guess the wandering trader gives you missions instead of an adventurous villager
But VMoonstar290797, how would the villager know if the player has actually actually performed the requested mission? There are several ideas: A bird, a dog, or the best the villager himself would follow the player to know the progress of the mission.
This sounds cool! I just have something to say. What if all the quests were on a quest board?
Also I think a new boss would be AMAZING!
Always liked the idea of the villagers interacting with the player.
I would LOVE a fishing villager giving us quests to go look for a fish and in return he gives us useful items or good loot like the angler in Terraria.
Maybe instead of going up to villagers for quests, there could be a mayor/ leader added to the villages that dishes out quests. That way there can still be trades for the villagers.
Genius!
YES I APPROVE ITS AMAZING
Albert Einstein!
I Was Going To Post Something Similar! This Would Make It Feel More Like A RPG Game!
A quest board will be cool tho, you will choose a quest which you can also see the reward that you can obtain from doing that quest.
Example:•Slay 10 Zombies, Collect 3 bones
-Reward 10 Iron Ingots
-2 Redstone dustsThis is a good idea and it would show up on the left side of the screen or right or something like challenges and you will get emerald for it or something depending on the challenge and the difficulty ? And it will give you a sign to know you completed it then you can go back to the villager maybe it can be a villager that is different to like the quest giver villager that when you come back he will give you the stuff and the next day in minecraft he could give you a new assignment like events on other games like warframe?
Great idea. In addition to all written here, I think that villagers - mercenaries would be an another interesting feature. Not sure how they should be made, but I think there should be a mercenary recruiter (as usual villager profession) who spawns level 1 mercenaries for emeralds. Mercenaries follow the player and protect him from hostile mobs. They receive experience for mobs killed and can use better weapons or armor as their level goes up. Depending on weapons they carry they are divided to 3 different classes - footman (carries a sword and a shield), berserk (carries two axes) and archer (carries a bow or a crossbow, highest level archer can use an elytra)
Hmm... I like the villager quest idea, but not so much the villager adventurer. Villagers are supposed to be peaceful people who prefer to stay in their (mostly) peaceful village
You should have it that he lives in a dungeon under the village, and you will start seeing the dirt particles and a giant iron golem fust will pop out making tunnels that yiu can use to jump in and defeat him. He could drop a block called the omega irpn and you can use it to respawn him, but it can also be crafted into a new utem called the omega sword
Very good idea
The quest thing feels like just regular trading to me. You trade a villager and he has something you want but you can't pay for it. You go on a QUEST to find it and bring it back. I guess a quest would get you more expensive stuff but still. I do like the adventure villager thing (aside from the golem boss) and that is why I will vote for this
