    Villagers already give you items and xp in exchange for other items. It's called trading.

    I like this, but I feel like it could be expanded. Like maybe a new villager which is called the quest maker, and he has you go to different parts of the world to upgrade the village for rewards and the final quest is like a boss fight or something

    I think this is a brilliant concept, although I believe there are a few flaws

    Having for example a blacksmith having you mine for exp and armour is pretty much just trading, to solve this I think only specific types of villagers could give you quests (like the adventurers or even a village elder) and these quest would get more difficult and more rewarding the more achievements you have unlocked and these could be a variety of stuff (kill mobs, find specific biomes or mobs, purify zombie villagers or even build a new village house)

    nitwit quest: bring me 10 stacks of dirt, place 100 gravel, and burn 5 dimonds

    farmer quest: bring me 1 stack of random crop

    all villagers: fight a raid, kill or let the raiders kill the nitwit, please!

    It'd be cool if we earned points for doing quests (like 1-3 based on how hard the quest is) with a world wide leaderboard. Top three players each month gets IRL minecraft merch.

    I think this idea is Amazing!

    Though a bit of work for the boss will be good.

    I feel the idea of adding quests to villagers is very interestingand may stop players from murdering villager for fun.

    Still a good idea.

    I love the adventurer villager idea! like a sort of fighting wandering trader," the travelling fighter." it has a good ring to it. Though I feel that this is a mod thing.

    I like this idea it will make the game more immersive and more of a reason to get resources and achievements and having certain advancements would unlock new quest

    this would give villagers more life and having adventurous villagers would help people find new villages

    I love the idea of quest villagers.

    Something that I would like to add to this, is that you get the quests when your villager is maxed, and you have popularity points with them, but each villager can only give you one quest.

    As for adventurer villagers, I like the idea of them being a kind of wandering trader variant, but selling mob loots. I'm not really sure if I like the idea of them showing you where villages are, though.

    I think this is like trading. You could ask so the villagers will speak to you and ask, “Bring me 5 Coal and I will give you 1 boat” or something, not a chart like it is now (in bedrock edition).

    love the idea

    I would like to see quests but based on how big your village is. Maybe only add a quest-board/quest-villager when the village has all the jobs villagers can have. 

    On what for quests.

    • Build - they ask you to make a certain building (this can be a blue print or a vague description)
    • Kill - maybe a priest requests bones or maybe spider eyes. Butcher could request to kill for rabbit. etc.
    • Escort - this could be villagers/golems/cattle from village1 to village2.
    • Defense - Maybe the priest knows that within x amount of days a zombie horde will attack so you get asked to defend the village and stay for a while.
    • Gather - Get stuff from the nether or end. but never from the same biome that you are in.

    I would also like to see that village is requesting a place for the wandering trader. Because i think they should visit a village every now and than to restock on supply's / pray in the house of worship.

    Maybe add a scouting villager that sneaks around the village to warn the priest if any encounter any Pillagers.

     

    On the boss quests that should be added.

    1. Maybe a corrupt golem that brings terror to a village is stronger than normal golems. Maybe can throw blocks around. Created by 4 evokers but is hostile towards any mob that looks like a villager. Maybe put them in a Zombie village.
    2. Gray creepers that a bigger found in the mountains but only spawn if you have a quest or at least spawn more often with a quest. They don't explode them self but they shoot boms like a ghast.

    I think it would be a better idea for them to give emeralds for quest completion, but other than that I think it is a good idea.

    more villager interaction besides trading? perfect! this also gives players a real reason to go out and have adventures!

    Ceci rajouterais en effet beaucoup de gameplay, car c'est ce qu'il manque au minecraft survival. Une fois l'enderdragon tué, il n'y a quasiment plus rien !

    How about a single villager who is the village elder or leader. The elder gives specific quests to preform. Could get a permanent hero of the village type bonus once all quests are completed for a village.

    This needs to happen. MC heavily lacks end game content and why theres a quick falloff once a home is built and elytra is acquired. Please make this happen!

    This is a great idea, because it makes villagers more interactive than just trading.

    I will say, I think a good idea for this is also making it so that when you've completed quests for a specific villager multiple times, they start to either give you better deals, or even just give you a random item based off their job every once in a while when you trade with them.

    I think that could be a cool idea.

    I really like the quest idea, although I'm not sure about the adventurer villager, only because I think that could be tricky to implement on the technical side. How would the villager lead you? How far away from their home village will the villager go?

    I think that would ruin the game and won't make it better because it's a other principe than Minecraft and Quests will be to overpowered and it would cause to much problems to fix Bugs with the rewarding system of the Quest if it's something more than a Item.

    Villager quests like a weapon smith would have you to craft full gears and they will give you a good
