I was under the impression that the game would keep track of Time Since Last Slept in the statistics, meaning a form of this idea is already in the game. Can anyone confirm?

Yeah, good idea. Maybe the title screen background could be determined randomly at each start-up of the game? That way they could add scenic views of other biomes and give it more variety.

The first idea sounds tremendously overpowered. You could add mending to a poison sword and essentially have infinite poison capabilities.... I don't approve. And adding banner customization to arm...
