Bedrock edition for MacOS.

With the release of Apple's new M1 Macs, iPad Apps are supported. This means that Minecraft Bedrock is more than capable running on M1 Macs. I think it would be a good business decision for Microsoft to release Bedrock on MacOS. Although I own the Java edition, most people I know play on Bedrock. It just seems like common sense to me and I don't see why they wouldn't do it.

    This is paramount, Lady Agness. If we can't have LCE as the version for Bedrock, at least have Bedrock on Mac.

    well i have a macos and its not working and bought the new mac so i can play Minecraft bedrock Edition but of course Minecraft Bedrock Edition

    First of all, I was aware that I did buy minecraft without being able to use Bedrock edition. However, I feel like it is cruel if you are paying the same amount of money as somebody who has a windows PC for a game, that over half of it, you cannot use. I also think as well, many Apple products such as the ipad as well as the iphone have decided to make cross play accessible by using Bedrock edition. I think this issue however lies inside of Apple, as well as Mojang. I think minecraft is one of those games that it should be on every single device, with crossplay being a major must when being able to play minecraft. When you think about how diverse the minecraft community is, and how popular Bedrock is in comparsion to Java, it just does not make a lot of sense for them to do Java instead of Bedrock. I do not think a lot of people would be complaining if it was the other way around. Bedrock edition just seems more useful for somebody who would for example, play on macbook. When we think about people who play on macbook, they are usually not game intensive and do not need things like mods and texture packs, most are going to be people who just wanna play with other people.

    Please! Bedrock is a lot more fun and easier to use. You would get loads more players if you would allow bedrock to be used on MacOS.

    Minecraft Bedrock Edition runs on iOS, so it should be relatively easy to port to arm64 Macs.

    The best way for microsoft to get any of my money is when they support their products on macOS (I use Microsoft Office, vscode, teams, etc). It's not like I'm going to switch my whole setup to Windows for 1 game, I will just use a stripped down W11 GPU VM (on my proxmox server) with no microsoft account and telemetry turned off. They stand to make more money off of me by just making it compatible with macOS/Linux.

    This is obnoxious. You have a cloud, paid product to sync worlds between platforms, yet we macUsers can't give you Money for it due to the lack of Bedrock support.

    What's most confusing about this is that the iPadOS version of the game supports mouse and keyboard.

    All the input handling is already there. Just throw some QA on it and check the box. Microsoft can afford it.

    It is strange that they have Minecraft on iOS and iPadOS, but not macOS. They are all the same code base and they all use the same processor architecture. They are literally alienating a group of people that would happily pay for it. The same with the other Minecraft offerings. The M-series processors on the Macs can handle it if the Switch and phones can.

    Mac users love Minecraft too! Please let us join our friends on Bedrock. Java is great, but crossplay matters in 2025!

    I don't get it, just give the consumers what they want... Windows is a great operating system, the problem is the gaming laptops made for Windows sound like they always want to fly away, if Microsoft can make their own gaming laptop then I wouldn't care about a MacOS port but no way I am going back to Windows until better devices are made, Apple takes the cake when it comes to devices so I am staying in the Macbook world for now. With that said, would be nice to have Bedrock on MacOS please!!!!

    Yeah, this is long overdue. Sideloading and Android emulation is a poor experience for anything other than the most casual play. 

    Give us Bedrock native on Mac's!

    I Would play so much more Minecraft if I had Bedrock Edition for MacOS. I have purchased a ton of maps, skins, and Mash-Up Packs but want to play on my computer for longer more in depth play sessions. I'm already a paying customer, just please at least put the iPad version on the Mac.

    This was from over 4 years ago but Apple now has even better macs. There isn't a good excuse other than "I don't wanna" for them to not release bedrock on MacOS.

    When Minecraft Bedrock was ported to ChromeOS recently then why is it not ported to MacOS? There is no excuse. Education Edition works on MacOS flawlessly, if Minecraft Bedrock is supposed to be "play together - cross play" why isn't it added?
