I'm gonna be so honest, as a MacOS user and with only java to hear windows have both, it makes me bummed that I'm not able to play Bedrock with my friends, and it makes things harder with having to change devices just to play bedrock.

Minecraft Bedrock .ipa file can run on apple silicon Mac natively, through playcover nightly build or sideloadly, but login doesn't work with error code "drowned".

As a Minecraft Bedrock creator with 400k+ subscribers, I can confidently say there is real demand for an official macOS version. Apple Silicon Macs are powerful enough, and an official release would benefit creators, students, and casual players alike. Please make Minecraft Bedrock available on macOS.

Microsoft should really add Bedrock to MacOS, but they won’t spend a dollar on putting in effort to bring it to MacOS, even though many people want it on MacOS.

Microsoft will instead invest their money into making new OS’s that are crashing, and their AI servers for Copilot which everyone hates…

Bringing Minecraft: Bedrock Edition natively to macOS is one of the most commercially sound, low-friction growth opportunities currently available to Microsoft and Mojang Studios. Apple holds approximately 14–15% of the global desktop operating system market share, with Apple Silicon (M-series) chips representing roughly 80% of active Mac devices. Because Apple Silicon shares the same ARM64 architecture as iOS and iPadOS—where Bedrock already runs smoothly—the engineering overhead required to bring Bedrock to macOS is exceptionally low. macOS currently stands as the only major modern consumer operating system excluded from Bedrock, while Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and Chromebooks all enjoy native cross-play.
By limiting Mac users exclusively to Java Edition, Microsoft is locking out millions of potential players from the Minecraft Marketplace, Bedrock Realms, and seamless cross-platform play with console and mobile friends. Expanding Bedrock to macOS aligns directly with Microsoft's existing "Java & Bedrock Edition" bundle strategy on PC, unifying player ecosystems while tapping into Apple’s high-ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) demographic to unlock significant, untapped microtransaction and subscription revenue.

Apple’s Market share is increasing year by year, but developers (like microsoft) don’t care about the users, like how Samsung or other RAM manufacturers don’t care about the users about the RAM price increases… Only Apple cares about its users, and would be great if Apple would buy Minecraft from Microsoft and bring this compatibility…

Minecraft Bedrock is officially on MacOS with some work arounds. I'm using an android emulator called bluestacks allowing me to run Minecraft Bedrock edition.

I agree. They should make Bedrock Edition available for Linux and older Intel macs too, in my opinion.

I actually bought a Mac version because my iPad is old and it lags when I play with my daughter. And was so disappointed that I can't play with her. Or make bedrock for Mac or make it easy to play java + bedrock.
