This would be great. I have a few friends that use Bedrock on iPads and I play on a Mac. It would be great to be able to do Bedrock too. Not just Java.

Just really want to add another pleading voice to this. I play on a Bedrock realm with friends, but I'm a Mac user, so I have to play on my iPad with a controller. Which is fine, it works, whatever, but I would really like to be able to play on my main computer! I'd even accept it if they just let the iPad version run on the Mac! Something!

Apparently, Minecraft Bedrock isn't available on MacBooks purely for market reasons... however, it's somewhat contradictory to put Xbox games on PlayStation and not port Minecraft Bedrock, which already runs on iPhones and iPads, to MacBooks...

Yes! I have been holding out on buying Minecraft on the PC platform because of this. I had already bought two copies of Minecraft on both iOS and Android, I've been wanting to play Minecraft with my Mac but as i primarily played on Bedrock I don't think the purchase is worth it. The Bedrock edition is for some reason a platform exclusive for Windows, which in itself is strange. As the whole reason Bedrock was created is to advertise cross-play. So please Microsoft and Mojang, release Minecraft Bedrock to Mac.

Just logged in to comment, definitely we need Bedrock for MacOS, tbh I prefer using Apples devices since IMO are way better than windows ones, but not having bedrock on this platform is sad.

Maybe they'll do it when they release Vulkan on Java Edition, the posts literally say about how "OpenGL was deprecated on macs, so Vulkan will be a big performance boost for Minecraft on Macs!", maybe they'll do it. Until then, we don't know.

It would be great to even have iPhone/iPad version as new MacBook Neo ships literally with the same chip as my current phone where Minecraft runs great!

I'm tired of the mediocre CrackerXI+ and Sideloadly workaround I have to do every single update. Every time I see the message about 'supported devices' on the launcher, I hear it in a trembling Swedish accent as if they're being held hostage by Microslop. It's literally just a single setting on the supported devices section of the .ipa file permissions, applied according to the author's decision. Please, stop forcing workarounds, and let the people use their devices to play both version of the game natively. If you're still concerned about Linux security, just use something like EOS anticheat + extended notarization (something you already try to do with limited effectiveness on MacOS). It's sad to see development continue being shoehorned into oblivion without reasonable benefit.

Totally agree - I really prefer bedrock and don't get why it wouldn't just be in the Mac app store.

I am a student who loves Minecraft more than almost anything, but I am constantly left out because none of my friends can join me. They are all on console or mobile, and I am on Mac. I watch them play together while I sit alone in a single player world wishing I could just join them. Bedrock already runs on iOS, so the technology is clearly there. All I want is to be able to play with my friends. Something as simple as bringing Bedrock to Mac could completely change the experience for so many people like me who just feel left behind. Please, Microsoft — this would mean everything to us.

For anyone who really wants to play Minecraft bedrock on a Mac (particularly the commenter on April 9th at 2:15pm), just know that there is a way (CrackerXI+ on a jailbroken device to get ipa, Sideloadly with advanced > device compatibility restriction removal enabled to install ipa on Mac with free iCloud dev account signing for 7 days), but Microsoft specifically prohibits multiplayer by forcing Microsoft sign-in and blocking all network connectivity from the app when loading on MacOS. Microsoft knows the app itself is compatible, and knows it will even run on MacOS just fine, but makes multiplayer unavailable and locked behind their incompetent account service, effectively making Minecraft Bedrock multiplayer a live service game in the worst sense. Microsoft owning Mojang = (Micro + slop)*(Minecraft). This corporation is ruining the game for the sole sake of profit.

I know! I've been waiting years to play it on my Macbook Air and it sucks that I can't join my friend's realm unless I play on my phone. I tried Android emulators and Windows VMs and Bluestacks signed me out after an hour of inactivity and UTM performed terribly and was a storage hog.

Please vote on this feedback post and share with anyone who owns a Microsoft account so we can get above 5000. Right now, Mojang's Microsoft division is getting rewarded for ignoring the community and focusing on appeasing Marketplace content creators, but this can end if the community raises enough attention to their neglect. If this post doesn't reach 5000 votes by 2028, they'll probably never even consider the change. Keep in mind, Microsoft benefits heavily from increasingly splitting their platform and keeping most users in their locked-down, 'simplified' Bedrock sign-in environment while allowing exploits to thrive, so it is imperative that Microsoft must be directly or indirectly punished for these actions in order to prevent further sustenance of a fiscal benefit perspective. For new Microsoft-related changes, most of the devs don't even have a say and just get thrown AI-generated instructions, so significant external effort must be forcefully applied at the level where the primary sources of stagnation and greed actually originate.

Yeah I'd love this but sadly they'll probably never do this because the only reason Minecraft is even on Mac in the first place is because JVM isn't developed by them and just so happened to have a Mac and Linux port.

This would make Minecraft so much more accessible for people who use Mac, and aren't sure how Java works. Plus it would save so much players time instead of having to go to lengths just to be able to play with other people (I shouldn't need a phd in computer science just to be able to play with my friends)..

My kids play on their iPads and beg me to play with them. I'd love to (at very least) run the iPad version on my Mac mini. Seems like this should be relatively easy to do.

If you're going to sell a "deluxe" version of the game with DLC for bedrock, at least let us access the extra stuff we paid for by adding bedrock to Mac and Linux! >:[

I almost bought the deluxe version without realizing that I wouldn't be able to access the additional content that I would've paid extra for!
