Bedrock edition for MacOS.

With the release of Apple's new M1 Macs, iPad Apps are supported. This means that Minecraft Bedrock is more than capable running on M1 Macs. I think it would be a good business decision for Microsoft to release Bedrock on MacOS. Although I own the Java edition, most people I know play on Bedrock. It just seems like common sense to me and I don't see why they wouldn't do it.

    While I'm usually not a Bedrock player, it would be nice to have for those times where you want to run a more optimised version of Minecraft on your laptop. Bedrock usually runs better than Java on portable devices. Also because there technically already is a port but it's just the education edition and not normal Bedrock. Cross-buy would be great here, either from the Windows edition or the iOS/iPad version.

    It's on iPhone and iPad but not Mac? It would be so good to be able to play with friends and family on the Mac!

    I figured out a way and you have to download a client called Minecraft Bedrock Linux launcher and pay and download the android version to run on a MacOS device. I didn’t want to have to do it this way so please make an MacOS version

    It sucks that PC has this but Mac doesn't, especially since now bedrock comes with java, if it still was two "separate" games alright but the same game? they should really add it.

    We’re on the M3 & M4 series now, and there is a new version of toolkit too… Hopefully they’ll bring bedrock to macOS soon…

    It would be so great to see Bedrock Edition on the MacOS. I will buy it again if needed just please let us experience both Minecraft’s on Apple’s PC!

    While this used to be the case, Apple disabled SideLoading support a few years back, taking away Apple Silicon's ability to run iPad apps natively. Super sad day for us.

    July 2024 and still no Bedrock on macOS this have to be a joke... that I have to emulate Windows 11 ARM, to emulate an x86 Game on a Mac M2 (ARM), when, as lot of you said, they can just bing the iPad App, or literally just port the app over macOS but... 3 years have passed.

    Reminded me when they said that Series X/S will have ray tracing support and I'm still waiting Minecraft Enhanced for Series X/S

    I strongly agree, as since they could make more profit adding the bedrock edition available to MacOS. The community would grow more massive than it already is. I think this is a beautiful and pleasant concept.

    I want to play together with my son, he is on Nintendo switch. I want to join a realm together...but we can't, since I have a Mac and there is no bedrock on Mac....I really do not see why this is not already realised...

    Man it's near the end of 2024 and I still can't play Bedrock on my Mac, what is up with this?! It would be easy to let us run the iphone or ipad version, but that's aparently too much work :(

    Microsoft on the Xbox side has said many times their strategy with gaming is to go where the gamers are. So, c'mon Minecraft devs! I'll even take the iPad app as is!

    WHY CAN I PLAY MINECRAFT BEDROCK ON IPOD TOUCH BUT NOT ON MY M2 MACBOOK AIR

    dear Minecraft people please make me able to play Minecraft on my MacBook I would like to play with my little brother but I can't bc my MacBook can't run the game. I don't think we would mine even if it costed $30 to download bedrock from the App Store. please fix this asap we need Minecraft bedrock on M2 MacBook

    How is it 2025, and we still don’t have Minecraft Bedrock on Mac? It’s so unfair, especially considering how many people have been asking for it. How does Mojang expect to build a Mac community for Bedrock if they won’t even release a version for it?

    I’ve tried to understand why they haven’t done it, but it just doesn’t make sense. It can’t be because of Apple vs. Microsoft, because if that were the issue, Bedrock wouldn’t exist on iOS either. It’s also not a hardware limitation Macs with M1, M2, or M3 chips should easily be able to run it, just like iPads with the same chips do.

    Mojang is essentially shutting themselves out of a market for no clear reason. If there’s a valid explanation, it’s not obvious, and the lack of action just feels frustrating and unnecessary. Why won’t they do it? Why limit their audience when the demand is clearly there?
