Bedrock edition for MacOS.

With the release of Apple's new M1 Macs, iPad Apps are supported. This means that Minecraft Bedrock is more than capable running on M1 Macs. I think it would be a good business decision for Microsoft to release Bedrock on MacOS. Although I own the Java edition, most people I know play on Bedrock. It just seems like common sense to me and I don't see why they wouldn't do it.

    bedrock for macOS                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       i wish that mojang adds bedrock edition for MacOS. i would get it double the price! so i hope mojang considers my opinion soon.

    My sone loves to play Bedrock for some reason, and I use Mac / Linux, I would love to see a Bedrock edition for Mac / Linux

    please support mac M1, "minecraft for windows" is a lie, I have to explain to children why microsoft demands hundreds of dollars to play on their realm server, it sucks for everyone involved

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DOWNLOAD MINECRAFT BEDROCK ON MY MAC STUDIO WHICH I BOUGHT SPECIFICALLY FOR PLAYING MINECRAFT BE ON HIGH FPS AND LOW PING BUT AS I WENT TO MINECRAFT'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE TO BUY IT FOR MY MAC BUT ON MAC JAVA VERSION IS ONLY THERE . AND I HAVE BEEN IN STRESS FOR  A LONG BECAUSE I BOUGHT AN EXPENSIVE DEVICE TO PLAY MINECRAT AND IT IS NOT AVAILABLE ON THAT DEVICE .  HAVE TRIED TO PLAY MINECRAFT JAVA BUT I AM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT .     DO IT! I own multiple versions of the game, you won't lose money, you'll just make it more accessible for people to play with friends. We all have friends or family who only play console or only play PC, making it so we all can play together is BETTER.

    MS STOP HURTING KIDS: Minecraft Bedrock for Macs NOW. It really makes me annoyed at MS because it is a biz decision that only affects kids that wants to play together but can't. It marginally benefits MS, once nobody will make a purchasing decision based on the platform ability to play Minecraft. My 5-yr nephew wants me, his uncle to play with him but I don't have a device that runs Bedrock.

    With that much activity on that post I am surprised that Microsoft/Mojang has not taken this seriously… I would consider buying Minecraft again if it was a condition to have the bedrock version on my Mac, I won’t be happy to pay once more but I’ll do it if necessary. It just feels wrong to exclude the Mac platform this way.

    I don't understand why Microsoft chose to do this its obvious that the software to run on an M-Series Mac is already there and with a little extra coding to make the aspect ratio, keyboard, and mouse it would be perfect, if we can get this thread more noticed they may actually do it.

    Some Windows computers do support both Bedrock and Java Edition so, if Mac does make it possible to have Bedrock Edition it'd be better for competition and for making money. Also, it would of course bring a lot of players to the Mac more.

    especially since I know in Xcode it would be one switch to make the iOS app available on mac too, and the wouldn’t have to change anything bc the iOS app already has mouse and keyboard support it even has controller support so it would run without a problem. It is just one switch!!! which is btw on by default so they had to turn it off!!!

    My kid plays on her iPad, so I can't play Minecraft next to her as I need to be stuck on my desktop in order to be able to play with her and she gets bored sitting in the same place

    I will not buy a windows laptop just to play Minecraft, I already give enough money to Microsoft (Gamepass ultimate, windows licenses and xbox)

    I am the exact same, i have java thats fun, but most of my friends have bedrock and when we make a smp there i feel i cant do as good cus im on my ipad useing a controller i connected via bluetooth, if i could play on my mac that would be great, it would be way more fun for me. Mojang think about it

    Look man, Minecraft Bedrock is the version of Minecraft I grew up with. I downloaded bootcamp windows to get it but almost lost my laptop because of a stupid bootloop error. Why can't it be available for Mac?!!!! I MEAN IT IS LITERALLY AVAILABLE FOR IOS. WHYYYYY I NEEEED IT PLS MOJANG

    If you install Minecraft EDU edition, you can see that it's bedrock-based... so why not have Minecraft Bedrock for MacOS as well? People who have recently bought Minecraft have both Java and Bedrock!

    Permalink, I know you can do that, but for some people, that can be a challenge...

    1. storage container has to be around 50 GB which people wouldn't like to give up most of the time
    2. Windows allows more malware to get into the computer...ouch...
    3. And, Windows crashes more than a Mac, due to software stability, which may harm the hardware.

    As an uncertified Tech Nerd, Windows Boot Camp isn't the best option for running Bedrock edition on a Mac

    Bootcamp is not even an option is you own any of the M version of macs

    you could use parallels but thats 100 a year just for Minecraft

    Hear me out. Since Java edition runs crappy on a mac, wouldn't it be good to get rid of java and just use Minecraft bedrock on Macos? Bedrock runs amazingly well on almost any device. Pls mojang.

    Yeah this would be soooo useful, and annoyingly, Education which is based on Bedrock can be played on macs. It would be super easy to implement. JUST DO IT!
