Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I really like this Idea because, Yeah Minecraft has alot of blocks but the thing is there's not many variants of blocks. For example you have wood Stairs, slabs, fences, doors/trapdoors etc but for other blocks like concrete you only have the block and powder then that's it.

Please let us have concrete and terracotta slabs, stairs and walls. Adobe homes are very common in my area and so are concrete walls and stairs.

When a design comes into my head like a light house, white castle, grand staircase, garden wall. I want to use terracotta or concrete but always shy away from it because of the lack of stairs and slabs. these are so needed to help bring a build to life. it helps add depth and angles.

these concrete and terracotta blocks clash with existing stares and slabs when trying to use them as substitutes. (white concrete with diorite, end stone, quartz).

it feels like every new block gets a slab, stair and wall variety. PLEASE revisit this oversite or offer a reason for why not.

    Thank you!!

Yes! We need concrete stairs and slabs! I use concrete a lot and would love not to have to substitute quarts for white concrete! I've been annoyed by this for awhile now and would love concrete stairs!!!!

Exactly what is the problem of adding this? It’s purely an addition to crafting and creative. It doesn’t change anything for survival, and it doesn’t require any changes to world generation. Is there any performance problems of adding this many new blocks? Are you trying to wait until you have moved over to Vulkan? I can hardly see how it would increase the memory footprint by much either. There’s so many good arguments for why to add it, so why do you not do it? Adding these doesn’t mean you would then have to add more blocks, some nonsensical. I don’t even see any arguments against it, just empty statements that «it wouldn’t be like Minecraft anymore». It’s been under review for so long. The code is literally copy and paste (unless Minecraft is complete spaghetti, which I assume not). You already have the textures. Do you not have a method to load slab and stairs textures from full block ones, through a conversion? I thought you do? Why do we not get these blocks???

I would also like to see vertical slabs. That way you can paint your walls and keep some depth to it. It also cost less materials

I think it would be cool if stairs, slabs, and walls were treated kind of like banners, where you can craft tons of different kinds, but not all of them are in the creative inventory. This would allow for many, many more types of stairs/slabs/walls, including concrete and terracotta, without jamming up the creative inventory with tons of blocks to sift through.

    it`s incredible ide

because to make stairs you have to go through cuarzon to the nether

then it would to craft concrete stairs

It must be so. Stairs and slabs for all building blocks! As Chairman of the Universal Stairs and Slabs Committee, I hereby underscore the need for concrete and terracotta having stair and slab forms. Thank you.

The addition of concrete stairs and slabs would most certainly help. A goog way to implement this is by using the stone cutter.

Concrete, Terracotta, and Glass Stairs and Slabs.

Carpets should lay on Slabs and Stairs as well, form fitting to their shape

Dirt and sand layers, like snow.

Walls for Wood, Concrete, and Terracotta.

Doors should lock to Walls, instead of being in front of back of the block, they should lock to the middle where the wall is.

That or walls should be vertical slabs that can be placed with the face flush with the edge of the block, instead of free standing in the middle.

Yes please!  I cannot tell you how many times I've complained to my friends about the lack of concrete and terracotta slabs, stairs, and walls.  It really is a huge hole in the building arsenal.

if this happens, the creative inventory needs some reshaping in my opinion. but yeah, we builders could definitely use this, we could use many more things in fact.. have you ever heard of vertical slabs?

good idea !, I'm not really a pro in construction, but there are times when I am building a restaurant of red, gray or white concrete and there are no slabs!, I have to use Forced the slabs of diorite, andesite or granite, well I say goodbye, I just wanted to vote and by the way talk about my constructions, bye
