Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

This is very important to have in building. I was looking for certain colors in slabs, stairs, and walls, but I found none. Wood and stone currently have very limited color palettes, and it severely limits building potential!

It'd also be great if these materials are easily renewable in survival! Clay is notorious as being impossible to renew in Bedrock edition.

I asked for concrete stairs, walls, and slabs right after they were released in 1.1 in 2017. At the time, I was told there were a limited amount of blocks that could be added to the game. Since that has changed and more blocks can be added, we definitely could use these. I originally thought they would be great for modern contemporary houses, mansions, and skyscrapers. I still want to use them primarily for this idea, but also know they can have multiple applications.

In that regard, I thought terracotta could be more applicable with the same blocks.

I also want this for redstone purposes, as I use colored blocks like wool and concrete to visually separate redstone lines and make the build easier to follow and understand, and not having colored slabs of any kind is a kick in the shins whenever I have to use them as I'm suddenly forced to give up the color coordination I was using up until then, defeating the entire point of filling my hotbar up with concrete. I would really appreciate seeing this glaring oversight fixed.

I like this idea, but why not expand the buidling wirh vertical slabs and stairs or quater vertical colum that cab be placed in block corners to make is "rounder"

I would love this. Me being a builder I try to find mods for this so having it in vanilla Minecraft would be lit

Great idea! Minecraft could really use more colorful stairs, slabs, and walls.

Concrete at least should have the full suite --not just slabs and stairs, but walls as well.  IRL concrete is notable for being a material that can be shaped in a wild variety of ways; Minecraft concrete is currently, aside from color, one of the *less* flexible materials in the game.  Perhaps they could even have variously shaped forms corresponding to the "carved" and even tiled versions of the stone blocks.

Gold and other ores with stairs and slabs would also be nice. I’ve been working on a capitol building, and I’ve had to use copper.

I love building and I like building colorful things, and I love the smooth look and vibrant colors of concrete. I love building in color too. And I love building things with immense detail and that means I have to use thousands and thousands of blocks, which takes hours and hours.

I really like this idea, so we can build more colour full houses or builds, but i would like they don't add black one, or like that strange colours.

This should have been added in 1.12 but yeah! This would make my house 100% complete. I’m voting

I loved this idea and hope that developers and Minecraft will someday receive this feature, as having these types of blocks would help make our contractions and builders more beautiful

It is so annoying why minecraft doesn't have that already

In 1.12 , I was so upset of not having any concrete slabs and stairs. Especially after knowing green and blue slabs weren’t there, because that would have completed my secret hideout. I hope this goes in the announced list.

Why don't mojang just do it all and add slabs stairs and walls to every single block, currently we seem to have random slabs and stairs and not all of them

I love this idea, you don't always need to add new blocks, sometimes giving builders varients of current blocks is enough. I don't like having to mod my Minecraft to get slabs, stairs and fences for concrete or terracotta

Would be really useful. I use a few different variants of terracotta for roads in one of my city worlds. I have to use a subsitute every time the roads go up or down. The best one I found, is smooth stone slabs. It’s very disgusting, yet the best one. It’s really problematic when I make more complicated roads, when there’s turns and intersections down- or uphill. In order to not turn the brain into a soup, I have to use acacia and quartz slabs to preserve some lines in the slab layers. It’s just utterly disgusting.

Well, okay, how would adding stairs/slabs make this not Minecraft anymore? Classic MC is gone anyway. Go back to an older version if that’s what people want.

You need to add one or two new tabs to the crearive menu, because the building blocks one is getting large. +1 for stone variants, or +1 for all stairs and slabs, or +2 for stairs and slabs. Put them on the left side of the menu.
