They should rework the lighting to allow for colored lighting (as you said), as well as easier Dynamic Lighting. That way Glow Squids can have the functionality that the community actually wanted.

Wait... are you talking about Minecraft Dungeons or regular Minecraft? There is no Gilded stuff in regular Minecraft.
