Well now they've removed the sort by newest option, which is something I would like back.

What if dropping salt onto ice melts it? Or maybe it can be placed like a block layer

It could be interesting to have the Ice Spikes biome be the only place where you can naturally find icicle stalagmites

I would just suggest a different variant of stalactite. Like giving snow layers an overhang like grass blocks or pale moss carpets.

Mining ice could give you ice balls like ores, which you can then combine into blocks.

Or maybe you can just put ice and dripstone in a crafting table and revert it back to the pointed variants.

Or perhaps make it so downvotes counteract upvotes. So if you have 50 upvotes and 2000 downvotes, it doesn't go to -1500, it just goes to 0.
