I think it would be fine if you have it and then use it to respawn whilst fighting the Ender Dragon. It could be made to be impervious to the Dragon, but it could also be destroyed to make it easier.

Since the Sculk is associated with sounds and the End is more associated with Eyes, I would have more Eye-Themed blocks in the End.
