“Wouldn’t be worth fighting” they said they don’t want players to want to fight it. It could drop something, but it should be something you only need one of, if it drops a weapon then people will want to kill it again to get another one when their’s breaks or something. A trophy item, like kingbdogz said in the ask mojang episode would be good, something to show “I killed the warden” without you wanting to keep going back and get more. But I’d also be fine with it not dropping anything.

You're not supposed to fight it, you're supposed to run away from it

You definitely aren't supposed to fight it, and it's not supposed to be worth fighting. However, it would be good to have a trophy item for those players who will fight it anyway, like a warden head that doesn't do anything, but looks awesome, and can be worn or placed like a block.

Maybe it would give you blindness when wearing it?

It is supposed to be a force of nature and a reason to stay away from the new deep dark biome, DO NOT try to kill it even if it drops a trophy

If you don't like the warden don't go to the deep dark.

The Warden should be something you fight and get a reward for. Kind of like how evokers drop totems of undying.

I feel the point of the Warden is to be a monster so strong you shouldn't try to kill it and instead avoid it, although I do agree with your last point there- there should be a trophy or cosmetic item for bragging rights.

I don’t think it’s time to say that the mob "should drop anything." because it was not yet in the snapshots. for sure the developers have plans for Warden`s drop

They have no plans for a specific reason, Mojang wants warden to be something you run from not face. I do not think it should drop something however you do have a point. Maybe you do not need to kill it but maybe there should be really good loot in the deep dark so players still try to run from the warden but get into at least small fights with it to get loot.

The devs don’t want the warden to be a boss or thing you show off by defeating it.the warden is a mob that was intentionally designed to scare and make you run the warden is to prove that even if you get everything that you are not invincible. There may be a trophy or decimal drop like the dragon egg but most likely it will have no use but for being a trophy. It is very unlikely for it to end up dropping a weapon since it was intended for it to be avoided. I think it would be very cool for it to have a drop like a trophy maybe. I’m exited to see how the warden comes out in the snapshots.

It's SUPPOSED to not be worth fighting, that's the whole point smh

What about giving the expression *I'm out for blood" a new in-game meaning? Maybe we go deep in the caves for some bottles of Warden's blood, like literally. Each time we hit him with a sword or axe he starts to bleed, then we have to hit him with a empty bottle to collect his blood. The wound would be open only for a short while, then heals up and we'd have to hit him again, until eventually killing him. His blood could be some shade of blue or green and could be the base ingredient for a whole new line of potions or at least a new one that gives us both strength and resistance II and could be increased to level III or extended in time. That means an eight minutes potion of strength II and resistance II at the same time. Or both for short time but a level III.

But this next one I believe it's far better. Mob spawners are nothing but cages, right? Warden are supposed to have the authority to lock people up but also set them free (I know, not exactly like that, but still, the basic). So what about the Warden drops a key to "open" and move mob spawners, or the itens to make them like special iron bars, enchanted ones.
I think I'm gonna suggest that myself.

Warden should not drop anything because its supposed to scare players. Maybe if it does drop something it gives you a curse that maybe could give you blindness in caves and summons a bunch of monsters too. You can not get rid of it unless you drink milk but it has three waves tat come randomly.

If thats not the case I do not know, maybe you have a better idea here. Just a suggestion.

In my opinion players have too much control and the warden is limiting it. It gives the player a challenge. That way players have to be even more cautious in caves like the deep dark.

The sculk stuff spawn with warden am i right? If you have one of them then that means you are strong to fight with the warden right?

But maybe something like "The heart of warden" would fit in perfectly. And maybe you can brew blindness potions with it.

People, please we all know that even though the warden will be a hostile to avoid and not to kill many (including myself) we will kill him, there are literally so many very easy ways to kill him; They are for example: get up to a very high place where he cannot reach you and throw stalactites or arrows at him, putting lava or locking himself in a block of 2 high (where the warden could not enter since he is more than 3 high)
The only thing that I say is that hopefully they give him the ability to tear blocks, be immune to drowning and lava and that he is capable of climbing (if so I admit it, he will be the most dangerous creature in Minecraft after wither)

Dude it’s meant to be an obstacle of the deep dark. It’s meant to guard the chests that has loot.

Yeah, while the warden is meant as a sort of boundary between player and The Deep Dark, if you had to kill it to survive, do you not deserve something for killing it? I thought of The Warden's Head, just as a decoration. The drop from a warden, however, could be anything from raw beef to an advanced device useful for security. We shall see.

From what I've heard the Warden will guard loot. He will not drop it. He could drop a trophy item though. The reason he's so powerful is because he's not supposed to be messed with.

The Warden should not drop anything, not even a trophy item, as almost anything would be an incentive to fight it unless it is something useless. Like rotten flesh, or diorite. And personally, I would rather get nothing than a useless item that clutters my inventory. Good thing we have bundles for that now

I don't think there will ever be a situation where you have to kill the Warden to survive. They would most likely always be easier to escape from than to fight, as they can kill you in 2 hits with full netherite armor

So there would never be a "Oh, it's attacking me, better dispose of it real quick." There's no disposing of it "real quick," unless it is the Warden disposing of you

Maybe a scythe, and they could make it so that only the first oen to load into the world/ generate can hold it, and that will be the only chance you ever get, so if you run away from it and it despawns, then you Can't get that scythe again. Unless there could possibly be a warden dungeon and in the chest there could be the scythe? But there is only one dungeon in the minecraft world

yeah it would be kinda disappointing if you kill it and get nothing i was thinking that it would drop a warden ear that can be used to craft the skulk sensor

Anybody who thinks warden is useless just play in snapshot 21w08a because it does not have warden.

He could protect or drop the experience totem.

When the player dies, the experience totem in the player's hand is sacrificed so that the player's experience points remain with him at the next spawn. In short, experience points do not change with the player's death.

maybe it could drop a item that could be combined with weapons and armor (the same way netherite works)  and give the item a cool enchantment.
