Just use unwanted enchanted books on a grindstone, get some extra XP, and then sell the books to a librarian with the books for emeralds trade.

this would also allow the Sculk plant (current Sculk Sensor) to be used as decoration without having to worry about the redstone signal triggering anything by accident. great idea

Amethyst is absolutely unforgeable and fragile. To be fair, Diamonds are also very fragile and not forgeable at all in real life. They're mainly good at scratching/cutting but shatter easily.
