I think there should be an option to turn any part of this of as a server owner and on the game. An example of this would be a private option that means the server has no backdoors to Microsoft for moderation this would be better because it means some servers that want to risk less moderation can but some that want the moderation can open to a wider (younger) comunity. These servers could then be put in two tabs like Badlion client with their anticheat servers. then if someone gets banned you only have to block the moderated second tab instead of EVERYTHING. On top of this the moderation shouldn't be automated and there will be thousands of false permbans for people who where just planing a strategy in skywars.

Please, microsoft if you are going to implement such a thing do it well and don't kill the game by getting rid of the comunity run aspect of the game.

Chat reporting and moderation does not belong in this game. You have one of the biggest games of all time in your hands, don't throw it away for this useless trash.

So basically what mojang/Microsoft is saying is that in my private server, in the server I own, the server that I'm hosting in my house, now I can get banned and no longer play? Is that what mojang is saying

I personally believe that the reporting system is a waste of time and that bedrock edition is just a mess that shouldn't get any updates anymore and instead a new version of minecraft should be created that improves on the things the Java version did right like for example the fact that you can pause the game in single-player and that you can instantly open the menu and that pistons are always predictable and that the blocks they push don't become white and that words don't get censored
Which gives the user more freedom in my opinion

Honestly I don't know why did this even became a feature in the first place. Like, don't fix it if it isn't broken. Now all the hack clients are gonna make reporting bots that can decimate servers. atleast let the servers choose to enable it like anarcy servers or servers that already have plugins.

Ok really Mojang? if i wanna mess around with my boys on my smp I cant? because of this "profanity filter" and the "Highly trained mods" i have just seen a video where they talk about HUNDEREDS of

Wrongful bans, I think that you should let people mess around on there servers which THEY PAYED FOR.

it's been working great and besides you are only ruining minecraft java edition with this You PROMISED  to NOT change minecraft java edition and yet this ridiculous feature is being added for no reason .

Please don't attempt to moderate 3rd party servers.

remove the report system...or just overwork it and stil let it be decided by the owner/mods of a server. There are many servers who are here since the beginning of multiplayer and always worked out (there are some without rules, which will be the biggest problem), but they got a own report system and some people working just for regulating the chat.

You don’t get it. THIS WILL KILL MINECRAFT.

After hearing about this and the horrible way this idea has been handled on bedrock, and of course I’m referring to the tens of thousands of false bans, this will blow up in your faces. Especially banning people from single player. Enabling this in realms, though not 100% fair to players, is understandable, since payment for realms is going to Mojang. Enabling this on privately owned servers is suicide. You say you’re listening to the community, but there is hardly any posts here in support of it. Nobody has been on your side with this change. If this is put in the game I, along with many, many other players, will quit. This is the end of Minecraft as we know it. Please do not put this into the game.

Any form of chat reporting is a horrible idea, as mainstream servers have been able to successfully moderate for years, and adding this feature will most likely screw things up. Alternatives could be a setting in the server.properties file to allow/disable chat reporting, and another option to bypass the multiplayer ban, for smaller personal minecart servers. I do not think that Microsoft has any right to be moderating the servers I pay for, furthering my point of having a moderation disable feature in the server.properties file.

This is the thing that keeps Minecraft from being.... Minecraft, the creativity and discussion. The moderators cant moderate everything to the pixel and some of the categories are so broad that just saying "you suck" might be deemed bannable. So just no. Also all the streamers out there single-player worlds aren't safe either.

So Minecraft has become the start of its downfall

    -An unfortunate Minecraft player

Punish the servers if they do not ban these players instead. This feature would be one of the, if not the worst feature ever added.

In my opinion Minecraft has done so well so far is largely due to the freedom it's being given to the players to manage their own servers or to just play their single player world. However this ban will eventually just ban players from their single player world which basically is just a slap in the face telling them they payed for a game they can't even play because of a possible false ban

if you go through with the chat reporting your game will die. Tons of spoiled brats are gonna be spamming the reports as soon as somebody does something they dont like regardless on if they even broke the rules and your ''highly trained moderation team'' doesnt seem to be good at seeing the difference between false and true reports.

I am very against this change. It will ruin the java multiplayer community, and judging from what happened in bedrock in the past, i can say with 100% certainty that this will be problamatic and will hurt Minecraft's longevity. False bans, spam reports, stuff taken out of context.

    I hope Mojang reverts this.

This is insane why would you do this, server owners can choose how they want their servers run and not to be forced by mojang and potentially getting themselves banned for owning the server, if you keep ignoring the community this game will lose its fans so many people will get wrongly banned and the money we pay will go to waste, and the fact you still charge for realms after the get banned is wrong it is horrendous. This game is supposed to be fun not being watched over every second of you playing it and getting to scared to chat because you think you might get banned. And what about all the youtubers out there? They will get mass reported because certain people don't like their channel. Let people choose if they want this feature on or off at least. I hope you guys change your ways, this is wrong, so wrong.

I think this feature will remove a lot of freedom to the minecraft comunity beacuse chat is a very useful tool and if the player are scared beacuse to use the chat beacuse they can be ban is like if there isn't any chat at all.

And the list of possible reason to be ban is to vague.

The new reporting feature is arguably not a good thing. There are going to be so many misreports and potentially unfair bans. Not to mention, why even allow this on private servers? I hope there's going to be a setting to disable this nonsense, or even better, just don't add this new feature. The context in which messages are sent IS important, and without it you remove every single glimpse of good management. Your "highly trained staff" isn't going to understand the context of the message. It's simply impossible. For big influencers this is going to be absolutely atrocious. What if someone sends a message that says "Drop down a cliff" to help a friend know how to quickly die to go back to spawn, or if someone says "I'm going to kill you" during a battle royale minigame on a server? Think about this, Mojang! We know you're being pushed by Microsoft, but come on! Minecraft is so popular also for the players' freedom, and taking it away from us like this is unacceptable. Just look at how you STILL handle bans on Bedrock Edition. If I wasn't clear enough, PLEASE REMOVE THIS FEATURE before it's too late.
