Parity is something that's super important to our developers so everyone gets the same experience across Java and Bedrock. While this doesn't always happen simultaneously, major features that have been announced are in the works for both clients. Don't worry!

    The reporting feature will most likely be an issue. Firstly for about 10 years now the java edition of minecraft has been able to employ their own moderators or filters depending on the server with no issues. If a minecraft server to this point wanted to moderate the content there are plenty of accessible server side plug ins that can do so. Plus the fact that the appeal system is not refined or you don't even know what you are banned for is absurd. Please Mojang either remove this reporting system outright completely or at least make it disable able from server to server or realm to realm.

    dont do this. horrible idea thats un needed seeing as servers have been moderating themselves for a decade on their own
    especially when they pay for the server to be hosted

    We pay for the server's, we built them block for block. We have moderated servers for years. So why, all this is gonna cause is popular players to get mass flagged. Take a fanbase like Dream's if he has another big duel a good chunk of people are gonna flag the other person. No matter how hard he try's to stop it.

    This is genuinely the worst feature you could have possibly added, and the worst part is you will add it anyways

    This is why I only play on older versions of the game before Microsoft got their grubby mitts all over everything

    Minecraft servers, which the players pay for and maintain themselves, have been able to successfully moderate their own chat over the last decade and should continue to moderate their own chat on their own terms

    Please revert this change. I'm so scared that I'll get reported by people with bad intentions and then I won't be able to play my favorite game. I hope you see this and have a great day.

    Do not add Player Chat Reporting, servers already self-moderate themselves, they should get to choose how their server is moderated. This is how it's been for years, do not add.

    We've seen this with Global Moderation in Bedrock, and it has been a disaster. DO NOT ADD THESE FEATURES INTO THE GAME

    Chat reporting will absolutely kill the social aspect of this game. This is plainly not a good idea to institute and will result in unforeseen negative consequences.

    You should not be censored on servers you own. Server owners have been doing it good for a decade.
