Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    Another way how do to this would be that you can directly place them that way.

    Essentially: If you place a stair in a tile to which you stand diagonally, you place on of those. If you target that tile at it's front, it will be an inward bend corner piece, if you target it's back, it will be an outward bend one.

    +----------------+----------------+

    |                     |     target      |

    |                     |      tile         |

    +----------------+----------------+                           -> corner piece

    I feel like to achieve what this post wants, and make it easier for the player to control, it would make more sense to make a tool (eg: a hammer) that's a survival version of the debug stick, that doesn't go thru all blockstates (like waterlogged b/c that wouldn't make sense) only blockstates that are rotations of the current blockstate.

    This is a really cool idea! With this I would no longer have to use the debug stick in survival (which is already a bit complicated to use) and it would also give more access to different hitboxes so this could be useful in redstone as well.

    Add this to fences, walls, iron bars and glass panels and it will be perfect!

    Yes please, there are so many times I wanted a corner block, and it just wouldn't work.

    I even tried using the debug stick which would have been enough for me if it worked, but it only rotates the block :(

    Yes please this person has articulated exactly how I feel it's easy to just break it and replace it not worth not being able to have it stay a corner when the adjacent block is broken

    Another thing that they could add that would achieve similar results (but require a command) would be the ability to use the /fill command (or even add a /place command for placing individual blocks) and manually input the block state in some way - so for stairs, it could be a separate boolean, or you would use something like [“weirdo_direction”=0 , “weirdo_direction”=1] to force a corner stair by inputting two adjacent directions.
    Alternatively, just give the debug stick (how does one get it on bedrock btw?) the ability to change the block state of a stair block to a corner stair.

    also, I feel like I remember that in a much older version it was possible to get isolated corner stairs by placing a stair to make it a corner, then remove the unnecessary stair block. I’m not sure though.
