With all the new world content coming in 1.17, which ranges from gaping caverns to towering peaks, I find it hard to believe that all of these huge features will fit in the world as it is. There just isn't enough room to sandwich all these new cave features - including the "Deep Dark," which is supposed to be in the extreme depths - into the small amount of space below the ocean. Besides, "Deep Dark" just begs for new depths never before breeched -- something that even the deepest caverns in Minecraft can't boast. How could this be fixed? My suggestion is to put the Deep Dark biome underneath the bedrock layer. In order to access the biome, players would need to find natural holes in the bedrock barrier, which would make the Deep Dark more exotic and hard to find; and at the same time, having the Deep Dark under the bedrock frees up a lot of space in the normal underground for the huge caverns which were also advertised. I think this would be an awesome way to make the Deep Dark truly deep and dark, and much more so than the other caves.
