Please do this. The effort involved would be minimal, but would open up so many possibilities for home BDS implementations.

nice idea! for me would be an incentive to play bedrock, since now I'm playing on my 3 servers that I have on rpi4 and oracle free cloud server (which is also ARM). That for sure will incrise the number of servers and players.

Please release ARM bin also. The we can run on efficient ARM CPU and save energy.

Also, many cloud platforms such as Oracle and are offering Ampere ARM based servers, ARM support is important for future compatibility.

All top tier cloud vendors support and will extend their ARM offers. I think it's time to compile server software like this also for ARM. ARM will become standard, so someday it had to be done anyway.

Please please do this. I only have ARM computers that I can use for server hosting. A dedicated server mean my friends can also play when I am offline!🙏

The fact that this is not already done after 4 years means it must be really, really bottom of the list priority for Mojang/Microsoft. Which sucks, because I would love a BDS for ARM too! Now OrangePi and RockPi have been out for a while and the Raspberry Pi 5 just came out. Surely this would be a great platform to host a server for some friends and family or even just at home for siblings?

For those interested, you can run a MC server on ARM-based chip through a Docker image.

    check out itzg/docker-minecraft-server on GitHub

I'm currently running it on a RPi5 with 2GB allocated and it is ok-tier for a tiny server to enjoy MC with a couple of friends.

I strongly support this idea, but I also seriously doubt whether low performance devices like Raspberry Pi can really run Minecraft dedicated servers smoothly? My own Ryzen 5600X still struggles to ensure smooth operation with only one players (TPS stable at 18 or above)

Yes, this is a fairly necessary requirement. Not only for running on small single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi, some server providers now also provide ARM servers with higher cost performance. If the official can provide servers suitable for more architectures, it can provide more choices for deploying servers. Not just the ARM version, maybe the RISC-V version can also be provided. This shouldn't require much work but it does help.

It shouldn't be very much time-consuming, but it would help a lot for small self-hosted server admins that can afford Raspberry Pi. Please prioritize that. Thanks!

Please make dedicated bedrock server work on arm 64

Minecraft Bedrock servers should be designed to run on ARM CPUs to expand accessibility and efficiency. ARM architecture offers lower power consumption and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional x86 CPUs, making it ideal for a broader range of server setups, including small-scale deployments and energy-efficient data centers. By supporting ARM CPUs, Minecraft Bedrock servers can reach a wider audience, including users with ARM-based devices such as a Raspberry Pi. This encourages more diverse server hosting options and promotes innovation within the Minecraft community. Additionally, ARM-based servers can contribute to sustainability efforts by reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint, aligning with the growing emphasis on eco-friendly computing solutions.

Same idea. I would like to have my own home microserver on Synology in the form of a package or docker container.

just found this thread. 7 years is crazy. no clue why this isnt a thing yet. you can already do this with java. also i ran a terraria server on arm and it was SO smooth (considering it was an rpi). currently can only run a free server using aternos due to the fact that i only own ARM devices. it would be nice to use the extra ram, storage, AND not have to activate it all the time. while it also being free.

I wish this was added. I pay monthly for an ARM64 server to host my services and I would like to host a Bedrock server as well to play Better on Bedrock with my buddies. Also, seeing that Microsoft is promoting ARM PCs nowadays, wouldn't it be cool to let people who bought these PCs host servers natively rather than relying on compatibility layers? Thanks.

Previously, it worked to use the x64 version by emulating with Box64.

But it only worked if you had `online-mode:false`.

Now it's impossible to use it because `online-mode:true` is mandatory; otherwise, clients will see the message "Server does not support authentication."

But even with `online-mode:true`, the server fails to start; it can't connect to Microsoft services. It seems to be a Box64 emulation error.

Microsoft could simply fix this problem so we can continue using BDS with Box64. It's the easiest solution and wouldn't cost them anything since it's an artificial limitation on the client side.

Or they could release an ARM64 binary...

The ARM64 binary is necessary. Many new Macs and notebooks come with an ARM-only architecture, and they can't be used because there isn't one for ARM64.
