Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

How to get bottled gales?

Bottled Gales come from right clicking updrafts with an empty bottle. If you bottle an updraft, the updraft is made shorter like sugarcane.

What are bottled gales used for? 

1) If you hit a mob with bottled gales it will launch them far away from you but the winds would be released (you get back your empty bottle)

2)If you hit the ground or wall, you are launched upwards or back.

3)If equipped to the boots section, the player can double jump

    The post describes "What are updrafts?". They are currents of wind that push entities upward. They natural found in the nether but can be made by lighting tall grass on fire.

    A developed idea!

    I honestly think with potions already in and with the difficulty that comes with something like updrafts I doubt this would work well. I definitely think that there is a potential for player launching of some form in Minecaft, especially with blocks like slime blocks, heavy wind however seems too complex for the game and definitely sounds like something an advanced mod would add. Saying that they did add water currents above certain blocks underwater however i think that was purely to speed up vertical movement underwater.

    my suggestion as an alternative feature would be a launcher block, this has the advantage of working with redstone without being so difficult to create and get rid of. Players have really wanted something like this for a long time now, think back to the creations of TNT launchers :)

    Soooo is knockback not a thing anymore?, also we don't really need a double jump, just make a potion of leaping
