Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

You do not need to dye them.  They automatically match cape textures, so just texture your cape how you want them to look.

Even though my favorite color is blue, I would appreciate it if options were available to others.

Well there were plans for personalized eltyra skins a while back, and the current elytras also color themselves after capes worn by a player (such as the official minecon ones).

So I'm not sure how Dyed elytra would work, but it would be interesting to see.

This would be cool along with a separate armor slot for elytra so the armor is not all ugly.

What if it was banners instaed, then you have even more cosmetic creativity.

Oh yeah! You could combine it with banners to get elytras with patterns.

What about combining the Elytra with chest armour but being able to give it different looks or designs like being able to make your chest armour look like lava (magma) while having a completely different design and/or colour for the Elytra part of your armour?

Would be a nice feature since capes are rare.

I'd love to see this, they could be dyed to better match with someone's skin or could be used as a more recognizable way to make 'teams' in games without the restriction of leather armor. Ideally, I like the idea of banners being mapped onto elytra the way they can be used on shields, would definitely take some experimentation to find how our designs would work best. Glad this is under review.

There could be different kinds of wings that you could craft once you have elytra, for cosmetic purposes, like bat wings which you craft with a bat wing from bats and elytra. Or none wings which are bones and elytra. Or feathery wings, feathers and elytra, and so on

    I think it's a good idea

to paint elytra and for example combine them with banners

although this would be cool it would sorta take away from having a cape, like the elytra is the whole reason i brought an optifine cape.

    @Bilbo Baggins

You realise capes are extremely rare, and if you even have one, your elytra can only use the pattern of your cape.

This would be cool for Bedrock players and/or who don't have a cape

You should be able to apply banner to them as well. So players without capes can customize. With capes coming to bedrock, they should also make the parity with java for capes on eleytra.

Yes please! Plus the ability to do the same thing with banners similar to how you can with shields. I am a very Dramatic and very Aesthetic person and I would literally lay down my soul for such a blessing.

They shouldn't just be dyeable. Elytras could be like Banners insofar as Banners can have their designs changed in the Loom. That would be better than just being able to dye them.

Elytra is a good item... but, it needs color, not paterns, not using banners, people has capes, just colors

I think that being able to dye them would make my cape feel less special.

Its obvious that people love to customize their avatar in their video games to the point people will pay real currency for it.

So i think it should be in as a neat piece of polish
