Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Only one problem: in the java edition of minecraft, you can't have potions in cauldrons. I know that's a feature in bedrock, but not in java. I still think its a good idea, but maybe you could splash a splash potion of the potion you wanted onto the item on the ground of a cloak. Or, maybe do a crafting recipe for it? Anyway, still a great idea, you have my vote

I think this could be balanced with 3 features:

    1. It's an uncraftable treasure item
    2. Like elytra, it is worn in the chestplate slot but has no armor points
    3. Only certain effects can be applied (e.g. speed and jump boost, but not regeneration), or the effects have a strength below level 1.

On the design end, I would love if the cloak took on the color of the applied effect.

I like the start that DrabbestPrism80 had on this topic regarding the enchantment effects such as double jump, speed, Longer Reach, slow fall and such.

More specifically, I was thinking a banner with six leather combined together would get you a cloak (top two corners empty, Banner in the center.)

Then you have a choice. Dunk it into a cauldron that requires three of the same potion to get the desired effect, or take it to the enchanting table to get an entirely different set of potential effects.

One effect I quite like is Camouflage. Either adjust the characters contrast to match the surrounding biome, or makes the character slightly transparent. It would also decrease the range you can be detected by mobs.

In my mind, this Cloak would take the place of your chest armor. With options like double jump, speed, slow fall, possibly a very nerfed constant regen with a ten second delay after taking damage...
