    tip: Google "4D/5D-Skinpack"

you can have a Custom geometrie, but not on the "easy" way.

And I wish that minecraft allows us the easy way.

    You have my Void

At the moment the only way to use custom geometry skins on bedrock is using an unlocker. It takes long to find the data and replace it. And you have to do it every time minecraft gets an update. Servers have already tools to detect invalid skins so they just have to change some rules in their data.

3D models can be done with blockbench,

why not add the ability to make skins with animated textures (with a maximum of type 7 frames) and add parts of the texture rendered as glowing (like the eyes of endermans or glow squids)?

About fairness and multiplayer, i am opposed to a report system

Servers admin are already overwhelmed with moderation and management, so they don't need additionnal work

However unlike other commenters, i don't want to limit creativity, so i have a proposition best for everyone :

Make that the player have a "default skin" (current basic model) and a "upgraded skin" (which basically add the new features you propose : new height and size, new 3D models, transparency, maybe even luminance (to have glowing skins like endermens)

And servers would have a new default settings, like the current whitelist mode, they would have a "default skin mode" enabled by default, and they could optionally disactive it to open to "custom model skins"

so servers could choose between creativity and freedom (for small smp with friends for example or creative servers) or to fairness and equality between players (for pvp or minigames servers, where you don't want small, invisible or giant skins that would mess with players ability to fight equally)

On solo mode you would have access to your custom skin by default, and the same on a LAN world.

But once you create a server you have the choice to desactivate or not custom skin models.

Also people would not need to chance their skin depending on the server, because they would have both models. by default they would still have the classic model skin on their launcher (basic steve or alex shape) and the launcher would have another case to upload custom models skins.

yeah keep the hitbox the same(so there is no unfair advantage) and make a min and max size for the model and make it so you can toggle visibility i think its a great addition to mc

A much simplified version, though not as versatile, could easily allow at least some added flexibility which could be turned on or off in different servers and still allow the same Avatar to be used. As an example, imagine each part of the avatar could be scaled up or down in any direction relative to the other parts, or looked at another way each part could be scaled up or down and the complete Avatar would be scaled up or down in the same direction whatever amount is necessary to bring the Avatar back to its original full proportions. Likewise, an entire part could be essentially turned off, or shrunken down so far that it's effectively turned off. By the way, I don't understand why these things are called 4D or 5D, since I don't see anything about them that fits such a description, but what I have seen most people referring to as 4D Avatar skins seems to be simply an animated skin concept, which should be easily facilitated with animated PNG since the avatars are stored in PNG files. It would just be a matter of adding support to the game for animated PNG textures.

Custom 3d Minecraft skins would be a really awesome to have added back to Minecraft as the current system limits player creativity and this feature did exist once but got removed from the game due to player cheating issues that happened on servers however this could easily be solved with several of the suggestions mentioned on here however some of these suggestions needs minor improvements such as transparency and size limits instead of having a default transparency and size limit servers and players should be able to set their own size and transparency limits this means that from your perspective say a player has a ghost skin of 25% transparency or a large skin that makes the hit box hard to find if you have a transparency 50% it will render at 50% instead and if you have a size limit of say base size of 1.5 by 1 by 4 but the players skin is outside of your set limitations it will shrink their character model to fit into those limitations while from the other player’s perspective it remains completely normal it would also be cool if players could make parts of their skin glow with brightness being customizable along with customizable character animations as well but these cannot be seen by other players unless the option is enabled in their settings to avoid lag on servers while glowing will not work if PvP is enabled however these restrictions will not apply if your playing on your own world or a server that is hosted by you.

I'm pretty sure bedrock can already do this with iobit unlocker, theres a bunch of limitations though like we can only use existing custom geos from the marketplace.

Yes, this is an awesome concept! I think skins should still have a 4D feature because if you try to make a custom skin and use it on servers it defaults it to a server skin so the only time you are ever going to use this is for pranking or playing hide n seek with your friends or having a cool skin to show your friend.

I wish there were no limits though it was considered cheating until servers used a hacky fix to change the player to have a server skin.

I would like to commend the poster for how in-depth and clearly explained their post is. I also would definitely love to see custom support foot 3D (also called 4D on Bedrock) player models.

    I really like this idea!
If you're going to mention restrictions to prevent cheating, I think it would be good to have the server check the size of the cube used when uploading a Minecraft model skin to the server and make a decision based on that (of course, we should be careful to prevent malicious players from uploading without triggering the verification process).
Regarding the transparency issue, it might be safer to automatically make textures opaque.
