Monkeys

The jungle feels really empty, the current mobs spawning there dont add to the jungle feel. How about adding jungle animals like monkeys that spawn high up in the trees(could be friendly and curious like the dolphin, if you give one a fruit he can lead you to a jungle temple), caimans in rivers and will attack you once you touch the same body of water they are in and maybe drop scales for a jungle themed armor(maybe alligators can spawn in swamps too), a juguar that will come after you and drop its claws for a new jungle themed weapon,

    i LOVE the idea about giving the monkey a fruit and it leads you to a temple. alligators would be cool too!! i have also thought about gorillas or maybe tigers. certainly fits with the endangered animals theme they got going on

    Monkeys would be awesome! I think the reason Mojang hasn’t added them yet is because it would be hard to code really good and cool monkeys (that could swing and climb) and most mods I’ve seen that added monkeys only allowed them to walk around and even if they spawned in trees they wouldn’t be able to climb back up

    I can't imagine how monkeys would look without adding too much detail and looking less Minecraft -ish

    Also bananas and banana specific trees also possibly part of a food and foliage/farm update focusing on foods and farming and or trees/ bushes also spears/varients could be cool using 2 sticks and one poison arrow or regular arrow. Or a blow stick with the same concept.

    I think lemurs would be better. They’re a lot smaller and would fit the game better.

    Monkeys can get aggressive though, but I do like the friendly idea. I think they should act like the Zombified Piglin. Don't attack, but when you attack them, they become aggressive and call all the other monkeys to attack you.

    my idea to make monkyes feel more welcome is to make a new type of vine they can swing from, and a special type of tree like mahogany with branches for them to climb on. this would make monky mechanics really shine if they were added. secondly, my favorite few features i would like added, are the poison dart frogs from the pick you poison mod, and palm trees to completely master the tropical vibes, then we will just need a few capybara, and an occasional macaw (different from a parrot in the way that they can narrate text) and monkeys and jungles alike will be completely changed for the better.

    There could also be different types of monkeys in biomes other than the jungle (i.e., baboons on the savanna, Japanese macaques or golden snub-nosed monkeys on snowy mountains)

    maybe if you give it fruit it will take you to the nearest jungle temple similar to how dolphins do. but if you attack it, it will throw poop at you lol or maybe attack back similar to the llama

    I would love if we could tame a monkey and keep it as a pet.  Tame it with bananas as a new food item, and it can be your traveling companion.  It can lead you toward treasures and temples, or it could run ahead and bring back items that it found.

    I like monkeys very much. And I have and idea, I think that monkey can be tameable and be your pet. We can tamed them by using bananas. Which can help you to attack mobs and help your to carrying some stuff(like carrying 8 stuff).

    Definitely add at least snow monkeys for the cold client and add areas that could be like a hot spring that you sometimes see snow monkeys there. They should make them passive but protective kinda like the dog.

    And the monkey would drop special loot to improve your appearance and armor, but you wouldn't have to kill it - it should be armadillo-like. I am against killing animals

    It is good to have more colors for the jungle biome and gameplay.
    As for me, I hate monkeys, and I will make them disappear if they are in my sight. No one left, but if they are useful, that's different. :D
    I did the same with wolves.
