Monkeys

The jungle feels really empty, the current mobs spawning there dont add to the jungle feel. How about adding jungle animals like monkeys that spawn high up in the trees(could be friendly and curious like the dolphin, if you give one a fruit he can lead you to a jungle temple), caimans in rivers and will attack you once you touch the same body of water they are in and maybe drop scales for a jungle themed armor(maybe alligators can spawn in swamps too), a juguar that will come after you and drop its claws for a new jungle themed weapon,

    I quite like most of these ideas, a monkey leading you to jungle temples in exchange for fruit would be great, they could live in a certain jungle variant and you can hear them 'laughing' as they swing about in the tress, maybe you might have to climb some vines to reach them

    As a reference to Curious George, monkeys should steal and wear your leather helmet if you dye it yellow.

    monkeys could steal things from your inventories and you'll need to kill them or give them a fruit to recover it.

    It would be great would be great for monkey and bananas also abandoned cities in the jungle and the monkeys there are protecting the loot in the city hall (gold diamond emeralds etc) also traps and the monkeys in the city hurt you please 😔🙂

    Can ther be bananas + banana stew and abandoned cities with monkey that hurt you if you go in the temples have traps and loot also monkey could start like annoying villages and stealing there stuff for the city that would be cool also an enchantment could be on banks like throwing and taking damage

    Yes! But if we're going to be adding monkeys, we'll probably need the addition of the banana or any other tropical fruit which could be fed to a monkey and used to make a monkey come to you (placeable pineapples?). Something I also really want is either the addition of the orangutan, which would be passive and hang out in the trees of the jungle, or the addition of the gorilla, which would be passive, but if you attack it it will beat its chest and come after you in a rage. I love the idea of the scale armour (maybe it could have the same amount of protection as iron armour), but I need a bit more information about the caimans. Would they still attack you when you're in a boat? What would they eat? Would they ever get out of the water? If you attack one, would it come after you even if you get out of the water? Would they move around/snap in the water? Love the jaguar idea too, but once again, more information is needed. What would they eat? How would they behave - would they stalk up to you and attack you, or would you have to attack one first to get a reaction? Which animals would they attack?

    Perhaps there could be secret monkey villages too where the monkeys act as villagers and trade bananas. Primates are so similar to humans, let's embrace their intelligence in minecraft! But at the bare minimum it would be great to see bananas added alongside monkeys to tame them. Maybe they can even do tasks if you spend enough time teaching them. There could be mythical items such as a monkey totem of learning that you can find in jungle temples that can allow the monkey to be taught a skill. Gorillas can be proficient in fighting in combat, chimpanzees can be proficient in farming, orangutans can be proficient in enchantments or potion making ( because they look so wise ), proboscis monkeys can be proficient in foraging, and marmosets can be proficient in collecting fruit.

    I think this one doesn't even fit the game.

    I liked the idea of the monkeys, it would be great if they kept the same idea of the dolphins but on the monkeys. when you feed them or give them a fruit they guide you to a temple, since, in my opinion, finding jungle temples are really difficult.

    These mobs wouldn't be hostile, because Mojang has said they don't want any hostile mobs that are real life creatures.

    In real life, Monkeys near cities are usually annoying people living there.
    In Minecraft, Monkeys could rob items from item-frame. :)
