Monkeys

The jungle feels really empty, the current mobs spawning there dont add to the jungle feel. How about adding jungle animals like monkeys that spawn high up in the trees(could be friendly and curious like the dolphin, if you give one a fruit he can lead you to a jungle temple), caimans in rivers and will attack you once you touch the same body of water they are in and maybe drop scales for a jungle themed armor(maybe alligators can spawn in swamps too), a juguar that will come after you and drop its claws for a new jungle themed weapon,

    I won't comment about caimans and jaguars, but I do think monkeys could be really fun to see in the game. There are lots of kinds of monkeys and apes, so it might need more specificity. For minecraft, maybe one or two generic species could work by taking inspiration from a variety of real life primates.There are macaques that steal from people in real life, and barter for foods. It could be funny, maybe a nuisance, for monkeys in the game to be mischievous thieves. Feeding them could return stolen items- and I love the idea of having them lead the player to a temple. If gorillas (jungle) or baboons (savanna) were introduced, it might be really nice to see social structures of these animals. In the game, that could be represented by size differences or a group of monkeys that travel together or fight with other colonies of monkeys. It could add a fun element of biodiversity to the game? With all the additions of animals over the years, how could monkeys possibly be excluded from the future of this game?

    Maybe the Monkey could also be your pet if you tamed it with something, and it would follow you around

    You could make golden snub nosed monkeys! They are so cute! You should also be able to tame monkeys!

    Monkeys should live in Jungle biomes and, like Dolphins, should play around with dropped items.

    I think that to accompany Monkeys, Bananas should be added. Occasionally when you mine a Jungle leaf then you get a Banana which gives you as many food points as an Apple.

    Monkeys could be like spiders being able to climb up the side of blocks. Once up the tree they can jump between the jungle trees adding life to the skies of the jungle. The player can feed monkeys fruit and the monkey could either run off or give the player something in return like a pot fragment from the new archeology system. Once you have the trust of the monkey they could lead you to a jungle temple. Overall monkeys would add tons of life to the jungle a biome that needs it most.

    I don't know if they should steal items, but they should definitely be able to hold them. They should spawn with explorer items like spyglasses, maps, and compasses. When held the items could be rotated like in an item frame, banged on blocks as if the monkeys are trying to use them as tools, and attempted to be eaten. Items, like baby monkeys, can be snatched by other monkeys. A form of bartering can be used to get the items from them, but if you attack them they will start throwing cocoa beans at you and sometimes the item they are holding

    I like monkeys, I don't think a new weapon is a good idea though. Also sloths should be added as well.

    They should add banannas to the jungle so monkeys, gorillas, and apes eat them. Also you use banannas or other fruits to tame them.

    i agree, but they will never add real life animals as hostile mobs. they should also add more fruit types as wea only have apples, sweet berries, chorus fruit and melons. For the example they should add BANANAS that grow like cocoa beans but on jungle leaves. They should also update most of the old structures, that way if you update a new world you would have old structures in loaded chunks, and if you are making a city you could make a tourist site, where the structure is actually old.
