Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Concrete and Terracotta having Slabs, Stairs, and Walls

I really don’t like how you can’t craft concrete slabs and stairs. That basically means that we don’t have ANY colorful slabs and stairs. I really wish Mojang will add this because that would allow people to be more creative with what they build.

Edit: As you guys have mentioned in the comments, terracotta could use it as well.

Edit 2: They could also use walls, that could expand build options even more, and when it comes to build options, the more the merrier.

    I, too, really want this primarily because if I want a particular sign, such as Walmart, on a building, to be white, I don't want to use something that looks kinda ugly like Quartz, especially when the rest of the building is made mostly of concrete. I want it to look more beautiful and fit in with the building, along with any other city-type/related construction projects.

    I feel like having concrete/terracotta stairs and slabs would make builds a lot more nicer and would add a colorful addition to building. I've always found myself complaining at some point or another that we don't have colored stairs. I'm really hoping we get new variants so things will look much more neater, convenient and better over all when building.

    This realy does need to be added and not having it realy is quite an inconvenience for us builders. I was hoping it could be added in the pillage and village update with all the stone verients seeing that it is basicly artificial stone, so it would go realy well with the stone cutter. It's not too late to slide it in there before you release the update. 😉

    Please add this! I’m inspired by the 1.9.0 update with all the walls, slabs, and stairs. Please keep going! Slabs, walls, and stairs for concrete and tera cotta also!

    Concrete stairs and slabs = better design ability of livable spaces for your character. I'd play the game more if I could make a nice looking colored roof or smooth textured stairs going up;/down to my base. I like colors, that's why I don't wear neutrals, lol.

    I really want concrete stairs because I have a white concrete floor and when I have steps I need to use quarts which looks different to concrete by a mile

    No one else has mentioned this so far, so here:

    I use different color concrete for each sub-circuit in all my redstone builds. Sometimes it's necessary to use a slab in a circuit and it's a problem not having concrete slabs for that. It can make it confusing to trace a circuit.

    Therefore, concrete slabs, please!

    I also think it'd be lovely to have concrete and terracotta slabs, stairs and walls. It'd create a ton more possiblities for building, which would be amazing.

    The addition of terracotta and concrete stairs, slabs and possibly walls would greatly expand the builder's palette in the game.  Builders would be able to make amazing builds with the ability to shape colored blocks better. Imagine a St. Basil's Cathedral that was more accurate to the real life version.  Or a greek hillside with the multitude of coloured roofs. Even just the possibility of one day having that ability makes me excited and trying to decide how I would play with these blocks first.

     

    I'm very much a builder and would love to see these options become a thing. And with the addition of the stonecutter, I'm hopeful that this is a future plan.

    Yes! 1,000 times, yes! I must agree with the mass crowd that having all the gorgeous colored terracotta blocks becoming stairs, slabs, etc. would add immensely to a builder's dream. Just for me alone, I can already envision a multitude of ideas that I so desperately want to implement, but I can't implement my ideas because there's no terracotta stairs, slabs, etc. :'(

    For example, I want to build elven buildings and love the green terracotta, but I can't use them as green roofs because, again, there's no stairs, slabs, etc. So, to see this in-game for PC Java edition (and all editions, of course) would be awesome~! I will follow and watch very closely in hopes this releases in the next major update (or any small update). This is needed in Minecraft, I agree! :D

    Love that idea! Ever since I built this water park once, I used colorful concrete. But in my latest worlds, I use alot of white concrete & I use one of the white what was it? The point is I hope they change it to have that.

    Great idea! I'd LOVE colorful slabs, walls, and stairs! It would really give players excellent materials to build with and add to their builds in a unique way! I think this has a lot of potential to make some truly great builds

    It needs to be in the game.

    It is super important to get a build in the right shape. There are two ways to get it done.
    1. Walls, slabs, stairs AND fences for every kind of material really.
    2. Build on a large scale.

    The second option is a bit out of reach for the average survival player. I ain't devastating entire badland biomes juts for a simple base with so much space that I don't know how to fill it in. And most of us are limited on time.

    So, option one is the better one. 
    I know, the devs wants us to be creative. But look at it this way ... 

    One small block for MC. A big boost of creativity for the community.

    In the future, every new block should have a corresponding slab and stair.  Concrete, terracotta and glazed terracotta should have slabs and stairs too.

    I agree, this will benefit builds in so many ways. However, I have an addition.......dramatic pause......... CARPET STAIRS.
