Why is Bedrock on iOS but not Mac OS? the App Store is on both operating systems and I question why this is even an issue?

Seems like a misstep because the player base for bedrock would grow more which I assume is your main plan seeing the differences between the two releases.

Because Apple Silicon macs allow iPad / iOS apps to be run natively on the mac, it would be nice if we were allowed to download that version of the game, until a proper bedrock port is released for MacOS (currently the iOS version of the game is disabled in the Mac App store for unknown reasons).

I agree, it is quite ridiculous I cannot play with my friends from my $2,000 computer but can play on literally every other device I own. This is not fair to the Mac users.

The wording here is honestly good but also concerning. I am confused because you say its at the expense of Java but yet, many feel that the only reason Java edition is still around is because Bedrock does not run on Linus & Mac (yet), that and keeping the Java developers who do not know C++ in a job at Mojang. Despite the backlash it would bring, Minecraft would be too big to fall from something as a platform shift like that. The game is still the same and the mods would still be made even if it had to be on bedrock. What IS concerning is how many use that as an excuse to berate the game edition (Both) or the person in questions choice of Edition.

In an ideal world, there would be 1 edition of the game that works on all platforms, mods & crossplay. Sadly, instead we have two and have parity playing catch up on both editions. There's also the split modding, skin, api, speedrun, server and platform communities. Then the Java edition problem of servers staying on old versions and very little running new ones leading to server monopolies. The Minecraft community current day of post has honestly never felt more divided than now.

Please Microsoft. I just want to be able to play Minecraft with my friends without having to use my iPad. You could even allow the iOS & iPadOS app be allowed on the Mac but you've turned that off, too! Please give us Bedrock on Mac, I am more than happy enough to buy it again.

Also, with the new Macs being ARM and using the same type of processors for iOS & iPadOS it shouldn't be that hard to port over Bedrock onto Mac officially.

YYYYEEEEESSSS!!!!!! I've been waiting for someone to say this!!! I TOTALLY agree!! I mean, I understand that Microsoft has a lot to do with the creation of Minecraft but I believe that Apple should have support with the bedrock engine too! Thanks, AstuteGrain2748 for sharing this idea with everyone!!!

Minecraft for mac would be amazing! I don't wanna Boot camp or vm my mac for windows and would love a bedrock edition. I REALLY want to play with my friends that play on xbox, switch and mobile. I really hope Microsoft and Mojang make this move it would make tons of people happy!

Make it possible for players to use Minecraft:Bedrock on Linux/MacOS. Cross-platforming is the future. OS shouldn't be a limit.

I just want to tell minecraft that Minecraft Bedrock (Not Included Windows 10 Edition and PE) players should be able to login to Minecraft Java edition for free because we have payed for the game on console and we have signed to our accounts on it, so please let console player switch to Java at anytime

I would absolutely love to see Minecraft Bedrock Edition on mac especially macs running Apple silicon because it's already an arm-based chip which is the primary development hardware that Minecraft bedrock runs on (iOS and Android, along with other niche platforms), It would be so amazing.

I don't understand why this post is so ignored. Tons of people would be buying Minecraft on their Macs.

Still nothing...  Just what I feared when Microsoft bought the game.  They have to ruin everything.

I believe that to push the future of Minecraft it needs to be updated to support at-least macOS 11+ on Apple Silicon. Having come from an Intel chip to an M1 chip has made a huge shift for me and the productivity level I can achieve. However, I know that Bedrock is the future of Minecraft (no matter how much I dislike it) and since Apple Silicon is an ARM processor and iPadOS and iOS are built on ARM I would see no difficulty porting said versions to MacOS on M1. At the bare minimum it'd be nice if you could add a keyboard and mouse support to the iOS/iPadOS versions so I could run Minecraft Bedrock on the M1. Though the market for Mac is quite slim compared to that of Bedrock platforms, research has shown that Apple iOS users, despite being a much smaller community than android, spend more money than Android users. I believe the same could be applied to Mac, though I do not have any data to support such. Though I hate begging, and pleading, I do support that Minecraft be supported on MacOS Apple Silicon at the minimum, and across time if money does allow and with enough community support, add Intel chips to Bedrock although this does not make business sense as Apple transitions away from x86 processors and onto ARM. Anywho, I would love to be able to cross platform play and maybe some Java servers will come (back) onto Bedrock.
