YYYYEEEEESSSS!!!!!! I've been waiting for someone to say this!!! I TOTALLY agree!! I mean, I understand that Microsoft has a lot to do with the creation of Minecraft but I believe that Apple should have support with the bedrock engine too! Thanks, AstuteGrain2748 for sharing this idea with everyone!!!

Make it possible for players to use Minecraft:Bedrock on Linux/MacOS. Cross-platforming is the future. OS shouldn't be a limit.

I’m thinking about getting a Mac but I still want to be able to play with my friends that are on ps4/pe. Share this with everyone and try to get it to the top so minecraft developers finally make bedrock compatible for Linux and IMac

Hey there Minecrafters! I just want to tell minecraft that Minecraft Bedrock (Not Included Windows 10 Edition and PE) players should be able to login to Minecraft Java edition for free because we have payed for the game on console and we have signed to our accounts on it, so please let console player switch to Java at anytime

I would absolutely love to see Minecraft Bedrock Edition on mac especially macs running Apple silicon because it's already an arm-based chip which is the primary development hardware that Minecraft bedrock runs on (iOS and Android, along with other niche platforms), It would be so amazing.

I don't understand why this post is so ignored. Tons of people would be buying Minecraft on their Macs.

Still nothing...  Just what I feared when Microsoft bought the game.  They have to ruin everything.

I believe that to push the future of Minecraft it needs to be updated to support at-least macOS 11+ on Apple Silicon. Having come from an Intel chip to an M1 chip has made a huge shift for me and the productivity level I can achieve. However, I know that Bedrock is the future of Minecraft (no matter how much I dislike it) and since Apple Silicon is an ARM processor and iPadOS and iOS are built on ARM I would see no difficulty porting said versions to MacOS on M1. At the bare minimum it'd be nice if you could add a keyboard and mouse support to the iOS/iPadOS versions so I could run Minecraft Bedrock on the M1. Though the market for Mac is quite slim compared to that of Bedrock platforms, research has shown that Apple iOS users, despite being a much smaller community than android, spend more money than Android users. I believe the same could be applied to Mac, though I do not have any data to support such. Though I hate begging, and pleading, I do support that Minecraft be supported on MacOS Apple Silicon at the minimum, and across time if money does allow and with enough community support, add Intel chips to Bedrock although this does not make business sense as Apple transitions away from x86 processors and onto ARM. Anywho, I would love to be able to cross platform play and maybe some Java servers will come (back) onto Bedrock.

Catalyst could be used to easily bring the bedrock version to Mac from the iOS version. It would support Intel Macs and M1 Macs.

I really would like to see the Better Together Update come to Mac. I'm not sure if macs can run the Bedrock Engine though. I currently use bootcamp to play the Bedrock Version, so it would be great to add macOS into the list of Platforms the Bedrock Edition Supports!!!!

I support having the Bedrock Edition on the mac, but I think I have forged a theory as to why this is not the case. Minecraft Education edition uses the Bedrock engine, but it is still available on the mac. This means that Mojang has already made the engine compatible with the mac, so it makes sense that the only reason why Minecraft Bedrock isn't available is that Mojang doesn't want to. Mojang is owned by Microsoft and is in Competition with Apple so it makes perfect sense why this is the case. Now one way this theory could be debunked so far is "Minecraft java is on the mac", but Minecraft Java was made available on the Mac before Microsoft bought Mojang and the only reason why they didn't shut it down on the Mac as it would be so controversial and wouldn't be popular with the community. They shut down the old console editions only because barely anyone played them, but that just wasn't the case with the Mac.

Raytracing can also be brought to Linux, at least, via Vulkan and performance can be increased with AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution to help make this feasible, performance wise, since it's compatible with all graphics cards and AMD integrated GPUs / APUs.

Now is a great time to do so.

I don't think stopping Java development is a good idea, but I would love to see official Bedrock support for GNU/Linux. :)

    +1 for Linux and cross-platform support for any/all editions. We're a Linux/Android/Chromebook only household

Please add support to Linux so we can all enjoy the better together update. Currently you need to use some workarounds with lutris to get the android version working but I’d like it if you just made it available as the desktop version

they should bring it up because their main advertisement for this version has been MULTI PLATEFORM which they themselves are not complying too. I am being forced to use windows 10 just because of Minecraft.

Well yes they/you might mention apple doing the same but you know what I am happy with how apple does things and I feel special about it but Microsoft its not the same for you. Please bering this to MacOS and linux.

I would like to be able to play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Linux, considering now with the upcoming influence from other game vendors (i.e.: Valve) and GPU manufacturers (Nvidia, AMD, Intel)
