I would love this feature to come to Minecraft.

minecraft always adds realism to most of the things it adds, the course of the seasons may not be approved. But that biomes with different types of seasons would be great, like a biome where there are pumpkins next to autumn trees with different distributions, making each tree different from the other, not like the usual trees, small and very square like mangroves I like it because it is different. In the tundra that the snowstorm will affect you by staying for a long time as the blocks of powdered snow do, you would have to bundle up to be warm and play the role of surviving differently in each biome and that each one affects you or gives you something special than the others as it happens in nature

Also, some crops will only grow in certain seasons.

Also white leaves in snowfall and pink, brown leaves in spring and autumn, respectively

Instead of making it so most biomes have seasons, maybe just make a new biome that changes during the seasons. This is probably what they would do.

    • Also maybe in the creative menu the different types of seasonal leaves could be there because blossom leaves would be amazing for Japanese type builds.
    • Plus it's the different colors are just beautiful in general

Yes, we need this so bad, I would like to see forests of reds and oranges in (game wise)autumn and see frost covered trees in winter.

I think this would be better to make a specific biome that changes seasons, but not for all of them. This is because many people build in a set area because of climate and weather. I don't think everyone who builds in a plains biome will want to have the seasons change to winter. It would be cool to have a biome where that is an option though.

If seasons are implemented, I would like to see them have some game-play feature beyond just looking different. Fishing rates, growth rates, mob and animal spawns, and even animal and mob behaviors are all ways the time of season could effect when and how you decide to accomplish tasks. Most importantly this should effect the crop system, such as certain crops like sweet berries grow much slower or much faster depending on the season. This serves as a way to make farming more interesting without simply adding more crops.

To make it easier to determine the season of certain biomes, I think the clock should display the season.

This would make Minecraft more realistic than a fantasy.

I can see it: 1.21: The seasonal update.

Adding snowier plains around winter, warmer and rainier plains in spring, leaves changing color in the fall, and leaves disappearing in winter.

This would be a great addition to Minecraft and a very big and important update.

Maybe It can be like the Christmas chest and it will only affect the game based on the season of real life (differing on where you live of course)

I don't want minecraft to become a simulation of earth. It's just a BLOCK GAME.
