Have the bundles dyed and each of them has a larger space, for example the Normal one has 64 space, the red one has 70

Once a bundle has been dyed, it cannot be undyed currently. It could be solved by allowing bundles to be undyed in an undyed water cauldron.

The Bundle has a ton of potential in this game. However, right now I feel like the only good use for the bundle, is to have one place to put all of the random small stacks of things to keep the inventory clean. The bundle would be infinitely more useful if it had doubled the storage capacity up to 128. This would allow for 2 full stacks of any item/block allowing for a slight increase to the inventory capacity. Another change that would be great to see is allowing players to put 2-4 singular stackable items such as weapons, armor, tools, & potions to allow for greater storage. Why not reward players for crafting a useful item. Lastly, some players have noted that the rabbit hides were made useful in the original recipe. Why not make it so that both recipes work? You can craft a bundle with one leather and one string or one string with 3 rabbit hides in like a circular 'bundle' pattern. These changes would be so good for alleviating inventory congestion and encouraging players to explore while making the bundle have more usability!

I agree with the guy above. I'd say there are 3 primary issues with Minecraft's "inventory issue". A) Too many random items / small stacks; the bundle handles this fairly well and is a good start to solving the inventory problem, though this only solves a small part of it, particularly when the player is randomly exploring or on a short adventure. B) A lot of "single slot" or "tool" items; An inventory row has 9 slots, this works well for the most part, though to emphasize the issue at least 2 hotbar slots are given to your pickaxe and sword, a shovel and axe take up another 2 and a long ranged weapon is a third (and don't forget food), so at least 3-6 of 9 slots are used, but what about including more tools like the spy glass and such, they only take up more slots and bloat your inventory. C) 36 slots just aren't enough anymore with the ever growing amount of items and blocks; if you go on an adventure or into the caves mining you will inevitably need to return home fairly soon to drop off loot (or if your a builder you'll need to return home to pickup more materials), the shulker boxes are a good step to alleviate this but they're end / late-game storage solutions.

I agree with the guy above that increasing the bundle's storage size would also help to alleviate problems B and C along with A. It would be very helpful if there was a method to upgrade them to hold more than 1 stack, similar to increasing map sizes. Or at the very least have them hold multiple single-stack items

I don't know if its a good idea, but perhaps single-slot items have different Bundle equivalents? Like a "large item" such as a pickaxe, sword, or armor takes up 16 slots-worth inside a bundle; allowing the player to put 1 reserve set of armor (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) inside 1 bundle to fill it up. Then there could be "small item" that take up 8 slots inside a bundle, which could be your shears, spy glass, brush, flint/steel, compass, etc.  This way you could dedicate 1 bundle / inventory slot to all your miscellaneous tools, then in the rare instances you need that specific tool you can pull it out of the bundle, use it, then stuff it back inside again to use again later and save on inventory space.  Honestly, this would make the bundle perfect and probably used by every single player since it would resolve, I believe, the main inventory problem. Then Mojang could keep adding cool tools and weapons to the game without players worrying about their inventory.

As someone that builds automated storage systems I would love to have a way to automatically empty a bundle.
Maybe the dispenser could drop items from a non-empty bundle, dropping the bundle itself if empty.

I agree with the community consensus that Bundles while great in their current form, do need some improvements to better address the inventory problem. What if we could enchant bundles to increase their storage capacity?

For example: Imagine if we had an enchantment called Bulking (the name is a work in progress). Level 1 bumps the bundle’s total capacity from 64 to 128. And Level 2 bumps it from 128 to 256. This enchantment can also increase the number of non stackable items that the bundle can carry. 5 at Level 1, and 10 at Level 2.

One thing that I have to say is that I am disappointed with the new UI element of the bundle. You can only see the top rows of the stored items and the style with the bar feels off for Minecraft and other elements it has.

I liked the previous interface where you could see all items in the bundle at once and the UI slots would increase as you added more items. If you wanted to be able to pick a specific item from inside of it, you could just add a scroll option with a highlighted slot in the previous UI to incorporate that function. Because of now, I have no idea what is inside the bundle after going past those initial rows as I mouse over them inside my inventory.

Also, as many complain about the 1 stack limit of the bundle, it would be nice if the Bundle could hold 64 non-equipment/tool items, just that. So you could have 64 potions, 64 ender pears, 64 boats, 64 eggs. Have the bundle be able to "break" the item limit instead of having 16 ender pears = 1 full bundle.

I do like the ability to dye them. I guess I will have to mod my game now so I can get the old UI back.

Bundles could be wrapped up by using the bundle itself, string and an optional dye. Once wrapped up, bundles will not reveal their contents until placed in the world, then the bundle will be releasing all its items.

    • More string added to a wrapped bundle will increase the time it takes for the bundle to release its items.
    • More dyes added to a wrapped bundle will further change the colour or the bundle's string.
    • Once a bundle has been wrapped up, the bundle string may also change colour depending on whether the wrapped bundle has used a dye or not.

I think bundles should be able to store 128 items so it has more versatility, instead of being a niche item. If not by default, it could be either as an enchantment that increases the capacity, or as a item component "bundle_max_capacity" with the value being the maximum capacity.

There could be a cooking bundle where you can cook your food. Raw food is placed in the bundle, and cooked food is taken out of the bundle. This bundle constantly needs fuel while in your inventory, and it accepts furnace fuels. The cooking bundle will only start cooking once you right click it your hotbar, and the cooking bundle can only cook while it is still in your inventory.

The bundle navigation mechanics are really nice, scrolling to get to the chosen item is great. Better than having to empty the whole bundle to get to that one item you want. But I'm not too fond of the new Bundle UI, there is a mockup of a merged UI using the new style with the old format. I prefer how you could see all the items inside the bundle at once.

One more UI improvement I would make to the bundle is allow us to scroll past the first 12 items if we have more than that in the bundle. It would only make sense in the long run and spare us the trouble of having to manually take out each entry from the bundle just to access the bottommost item. Not sure how it'll work on mobile touchscreens in Bedrock, but I assume there'd be a button allowing to progress past the first 12 items

    Bundles - Snapshot 24w36a

"When a bundle is used in the hotbar, one group of items is emptied at a time instead of everything being emptied at once." - Minecraft Wiki

    I propose:

When a bundle is used in the hotbar while crouching (shift+right-clicking), it should still throw out its entire contents into the world.  This would be like kneeling down to dump out a bag in real life.  This would also allow a quick way to toss bundled items into a sorting machine.

Bundles of Bravery was released today and I agree with all features other than needing to hold down the right mouse button to empty a bundle completely.  *Insert "Ain't nobody got time for that" meme here*

I enjoy being able to remove one group of items at a time when I am "in the field" so to speak, but I think the player should have the option to do either via crouching.

I agree with bundles only storing a single stack's worth of items, inventory management is still an important aspect of Minecraft, after all.

I also agree with only having scrolling access to the last 11 groups of items because much like a purse, if you want something at the bottom, you are going to have to do some digging and/or take some things out first.

I think this is a wonderfully executed feature, it feels balanced so far, and I hope it gets improved upon in the future.  I will end with an idea, introduce a rare enchanted book obtainable from the trial chambers that will increase a bundle's capacity to assist with the overflow of trial chamber rewards.

The new bundles look awesome! I think that the colours could be nicer to the eyes, though. It's definitely different from everything else in Minecraft, but I like the idea.

I think that bundles should be good all the way up to when you get shulker boxes. This is because inventory is a problem all the way up to shulker boxes.

    My ideas

    • Make them have 2 stacks
    • Have 2 recipes 1 with leather and 1 with rabbit hide
    • Let up to 8 non-stackables in 1 bundle
    • Be able to see whats inside

I want there to be a way for redstone to be able to fill bundles. This could be a functionality of the Decorated Pot, where hoppering into a decorated pot that already has a bundle would put items in the bundle.

Any plans to add lavaproof bundles that are crafted with netherite? This would be awesome to have!
