Chinese Paper Lanterns (1.20)

To fit with the theme of diversity and storytelling, why not add traditional Chinese lanterns to add a different and festive flavour to lighting. The basic crafting recipe would be a torch surround by 7 paper and 1 type of dye. The dye would determine what colour and shape the lantern takes. E.g. a red lantern would be round whilst a blue one might be more rectangular. Paper lanterns could be hanged from the bottom of blocks but not from the side. In addition when placed on the ground the lantern could float a certain number of blocks into the air, spinning around slowly. The player could also stand on the lantern, making for interesting parkour. In conclusion, having Chinese Paper Lanterns would give lot of opportunity for builds, parkour and storytelling.

    I think this would work but as a paper lantern, the different shapes of the lantern would be cool if they were available for every lantern, The parkour premise I'm not a big fan of though especially if you plan on making it spin when floating up.

    Nice idea but I think it could also be neat if you could take it to a loom and put different designs on it

    I feel like putting it on the ground wouldn't make sense, but it could be a light source that can float

    That's a good idea, because that would make more Chinese decorations and that would be cool.

    I think the paper Chinese lanterns would look amazing. And also there’s something wrong with the skins every single time I would get on someone would tell me I’m using a default skin, even though I’m wearing a completely different skin in the game, but it will show a different skin for them

    Las elijo porque son muy bonitas y esto haria que el juego tenga más variedad y esto ayudaria mucho rn construcciones y serviria para los que amab esa cultura o solo para darle un hermoso toque especial, porfavor MOJANG esta es una muy buena mejora para Minecraft.

    Да, но зачем это делать в оригинале?
    Существует китайский майнкрафт, можно добавить и туда.
    Но и если китайская версия разработанк не вами, то можно спросить у них. Думаю, они будут вообще не против)

    I think we should have crows and birds and other reptiles and more animals in the next update. It would make a great way for people to explore and find new things.

    Está buena la idea 💡 pero me gustaría dejar mí idea que es poner sariguellas en el lugar del desierto tmb poner más variedades de lobos poder ponerles tótems a los lobos en sus collares

    Since you guys hate the word "Chinese" so much, is a Japanese lantern ok? 

    Please don't tell me Japanese lanterns won't fit Scandinavian design, as there is a real-life design style called Japandi which is a mix of Japanese design and Scandinavian design.
