One thing to also take from this is that there should be at least some parameters for lore. So maybe having it look like an abandoned developed area, but can be a pool for other lore.

I also think Cave systems should be more rectilinear than curvy.

Water tinting should not be biome dependent because underwater bodies are unaffected by temperature what with the insulation.

I think that there should be a reason that these caves exist, as well as a sign that you are entering one. Maybe they could be called the creeper's corridor and is the only place one can find creep...

I feel like the diamond part is overpowered, so I think the explosion should just make a larger cavity that drops all the possible ores that was there in the vicinity of the explosion.

I feel like the flower population in swamps will plummet, and that the water breathing aspect is a little overpowered. So maybe make a catch, like after the water breathing is done you have a seven...
